Talk has it that when President Kennedy landed at London Heathrow he had a hairdresser come onboard to fix him up before descending the steps. This delayed a lot of aircraft movements.
My last flight out of port Columbus had a delay the pilot was less then thrilled when he announced we would be holding at the terminal because the president was in town lol. I was less then thrilled when I had to run across Charlotte Airport as I almost missed my connecting flight because of it.
AF1 Pilot's know they are the SHEEET....No mandatory read backs...completely disses ATC when given clearance to take off...do you understand this Clarence? ....By the way, SHIRLEY a pilot didn't chime in and say, "let my President go"....SHIRLEY THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN....
Gotta love the little clues that were given to describe Air Force One, and maybe some of the stuff that was happening on board....."VIP traffic," "Whiskey," "Golf."
The verbiage used of Whiskey Golf were either the call-signs, identifiers of other aircraft (I don't remember when they were used) or they were used to IDENTIFY which taxi way or exit for aircraft to use...sort of like 1st Avenue and/or Main Street...but runways, especially those at an international airport will have multiple "taxiways" or entrance/exit ramps or streets....they are the large caution yellow colored with black letters and numbers in the grass along the tarmac designating for the pilot where to turn to either go to the runway or to exit....That specific airport has TAXIWAYS or streets F, E, D, W, and Y AS AN EXAMPLE... F=FOXTROT...E = ECHO... D = DELTA...W = WHISKEY....Y = YANKEE... ps. i'M RATHER CONFIDENT YOU WERE BEING FUNNY AND TBH YOU WERE...BUT JUST IN CASE OTHERS WERE NOT AWARE, AS A PILOT I FELT THE NEED TO INTERJECT... Anycase, I'll apologize just in case and will say...well done Ms. Janet...Well done indeed...🙂
Not exactly. Any USAF aircraft the US president is on is designated the AF1 call sign. A Marine aircraft would be Marine 1 etc. In the unlikely event that the US president traveled on a commercial aircraft, it would use the call sign Executive 1.
This is literally being recorded by some dude in his house that lives near the airport.. it has nothing to do with the radio and everything to do with location compared to the aircraft. AF1 was definitely in a more remote location of the airport, probably being blocked by buildings.
Anything to do with the American President sickens me. Funny how there were illegal acts and occupations in Iraq, Syria, Yeman, Afghanistan, and all we hear is crickets. However Ukraine is a whole different story! Don't you understand yet why the world believes that America is a hypocritical, morally and ethically corrupt nation? Truly disgusting!
You act as if the majority of Americans believe in that war, and that the American president (that even Republicans have cast out) didn't literally produce false intelligence for the EXACT people that were supposed to limit his power. Bush literally lied to congress and to the american peope to get approval, or did you forget that part?
@@ryanthompson3737 I'm not american thank God. America is the virus infecting the world right now. No excuse you can offer will change those facts. Your country is about to collapse and you will soon experience what you have been doing to ither countries. I'm grabbing some pop corn because I'm going to enjoy this. My country will be affected but the pain will be worth it.
@@pigpower3r852 NO lmfao. Imagine reading a comment joking about back to the future and then running with it as fact. They do have powerful radios, but they're using standard issue equipment to talk to the control towers. What you're hearing is some dude in his house recording the radio frequencies at the airport, which is obstructed by building and other interference. AF1 is likely way on the other side of the airport in a more remote location, making the interference much worse. ATC and other aircraft would hear them perfectly as they all use the same system standards that make such communication possible.
