Awesome. It was interesting to see the operating rev range on the tacho. I always thought it would be around from 1500 to 2400 rpm or something like that in mine, although I never had a tacho to know it for sure. I used to cruise it at around 45 mph in top gear out of mechanical empathy and intuition, I suppose. Kind regard.
Early versions used switchable fans with electric clutch. But you can override the clutch mechanically. On latter versions they used viscous fans, with yellow blades.
Unfortunately I spoke too soon. Played first disc, no problem second disc wouldn't play. Also the eject tray ejected with no disc in it?...Back to square one.
You should not use have car in gear and revving while not moving. A very nice car looks fabulous and engine sounds really good the colour combination is wonderful and the interior is top class. I have one of these myself it's 1981 model same colour, Very hard on fuel though.
I have to say I was very sceptical about this fix but thought I may as well give it a go on my temperamental TEAC P650 CD player as I'd had no joy with the more widely recommended q-tip method. I'd also been unsuccessful in my attempts to locate the pot which increases current to the laser, which is mentioned in other videos. Anyway, a few rubs later with the rubber end of a pencil and a handful of discs that were previously not reading at all now do so fine and play through with no errors. I have more to test (discs of 70+ minutes were typically troublesome) but the signs look very good, so many thanks to RDJ for posting this!
you need to do some mods behind the dash as you are limeted to space, youneed to take out the brackets next to the heater, use your standard wiring for power and audio, if you n4eed to use cd, need a cd changer modulater, plenty on popular auction site, then that just plugs in your ariel socket theen ariel into the modulator
Great solution... I have a 1950 Morris J Van Commercial (Canberra, Australia) with an old three spoke bakerlite steering wheel. How do I contact you in order to organise purchase of your harmonic puller? Thx, Craig craigrichardson1313@gmail.com
An advert on amazon for Electcom dvd player says, "Anti-shock protection ensures for dvd player that you have nothing but uninterrupted viewing pleasure as it reads ahead, and provides a smooth, reliable viewing experience" I have a dvd -RW which my Sony DVP 760H always freezes on. Fearing the disc to be warped, I keep pressing it between two pieces of glass. It works a little better but not totally cured! I shall keep pressing! Would "Anti-shock... reading ahead", as described above, be capable of playing my -RW problem disc? In short I am wanting a dvd player I can trust to always play without 'freezing'. I can't relax when I play a dvd - I fear it will stall or freeze. Should I trust "Anti-shock... reading ahead" mechanism, please?
you would need to fit the o2 sensor in a place where it sees all the exhaust flow, if you leave it as it is it will only tell you emissions on the cylinders that exhaust through that pipe .
Hi thanks for you great comment, if you look at the video, you will see a welded screw in fitting on the exhaust, thats for the o2 sensor, i had run it all summer and not had any problems with the injection at all, pleased to say fuel consumption and hot starts have greatly improved and bery pleased with it.
@@galianas is the exit of the main manifold into the down pipe siamesed or is it separated? If it is a 4-2-1 set up then your lambda sensor will only be reading emissions from two cylinders, if the other two cylinders go rich or lean the lambda won't see it.
😆 rub that pencil eraser across your eye and see how much better your vision is!!! Bluray sucks or this philips sucks. I can't get dialog and music at the same level. I am forced to watch with my tv volume control to lower the music and fighting down!!😤 then turn up the volume when they talk!! I want my money back
Nice to see this Leyland FG..noticed the yellow paint inside the door.Sunblest maybe..spent a few years in these as a vanboy..smell of fresh bread and petrol engines .The noise was something but toasty warm with the engine in the cab. Thanks for sharing
Where can you get more information on these Dunlop compressors please? I'm looking to get a diving Dunlop compressor- can find very little information online.. any advice or input be very appreciated thanks Sam
@@samgrant5664 hi They are now Bristol compressors and still made. In larger versions, fire service and MOD both loved them for simplicity. Final stage valve is the item to watch, design to a life span, but should still be available. Once you see the Bristol compressor range you'll see what I mean. They are a high pressure unit. 3000psi 230 bar. was big in the 1970s 170 bar was working pressure then.
Most cases a light rubbing with a cotton bud will get the dust off ... think of it like you looking through a really dirty window... you definitely can't see everything... to laser reading devices CD/DVD/BLURAY it can block enough that the machine won't acknowledge a disk at all ... and if it does it won't be able to play it correctly
"if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail" - Aside from your use of compressed air, ;) i think part of the fix was you also agitating the lens mechanism up and down. back and forth. Sometimes this sticks and is therefore unable to focus on the disc. Thanks for showing how simple this is to fix.
go to my recent videos, you will see the same just been done on a ford galaxy 2.0 tdci, see it here on the link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g6A04cY6TGk.html
