This actually really hits the point of the original song well. For those who don't know, the entire Black Parade album is about struggling with cancer and the fact that the singer was going to die. Freddie Mercury died of AIDS which (completely disregarding the impact the US could've had) was a similar death sentence in Freddie's time. If you had HIV, there was little hope of surviving it. Black Parade the song is about carrying on in the face of death, despite everything, marching on and inspiring others to keep marching on as well. It's our job as people to keep living and keep uplifting others. That's why the singer says "I'm just a man, I'm not a hero." Suffering from a deadly disease shouldn't make anyone a hero, or an inspiration to those without it. They're just people living their lives. The best thing we can do to honor the people that have died and will die to deadly illnesses like cancer and AIDS is keep marching on and fighting and working for better treatment for these people. Freddie singing this song just underlines and screams out this point like no other person could.

I think I like this one more than the real Adam's song haha. It doesn't sound exactly like Gerrard but it has his voice mannerism, if that makes any sense.
This song is very polarizing for me; the original in question... the beginning is so beautiful and perfect, and then it finishes and become what is the rest of the song... which I don't care for. The first part though.... some of the best music perhaps ever recorded.
I kept hoping to hear Freddie's voice singing 'black parade'. As soon as I heard the ‘when I was’ part, I was so happy. And I cried because I missed Freddie.
