My canistel has yellow leaves. Any tips to make it happier?
@urbanabundancefl
@urbanabundancefl Год назад
Do you water it? Did you add rich soil or any mulch when you planted it? They need a lot of love in the beginning. Give it lots of care (water and good nutrients/organic matter).

So I think I missed the info promised in the title of the video. I can't get my minute and a half back and still don't know how to grow miracle fruit. Absolutely lame video......
@urbanabundancefl
@urbanabundancefl Год назад
This is a video from our "How To Grow" Series, which helps INTRODUCE these plants to the world! I hope you enjoyed the video or learned something in that minute and a half. If not, that's ok too and you can go somewhere else! Oh yeah, Miracle Fruit likes acidic soil and part shade, if you needed that information to plant one. It' a very easy one to grow if you are still interested. All the best!!😀

So... How do we propagate this? The video did not mention that 😁.
@urbanabundancefl
@urbanabundancefl Год назад
You simply pull out (or cut) pieces from the plant and pop it in pot with soil or in the ground in the area you want to spread. You want to make sure the root "nodes " are underneath the soil.

@@urbanabundancefl thank you so much! This is similar to frog fruit which is native to the west and the southeastern United States. Seems like they both have similar propagation methods.

Hey my friend, this video is a part of our "How To Grow" series for all our crops. The goal is to get information out about the plant, growing techniques, ways to process these plants, and its benefits for ourselves and our gardens. I hope you areas excited about this plant as I am!! Here's tips on How To Grow : Cut 1 foot long branches of the plant (thicker the better) and stick it in the ground or a pot of soil! It's literally that easy 😀

Picked up a Canistel v. "Trompo" this past week, should be going in the ground this week. I'm looking forward to the fruit a few years from now. I'm going to attempt to keep mine under 15' long term through pruning. Nice find, hopefully the owners didn't mind!

I’d love a bunch of video tutorials on getting started and harvesting this kind of stuff... especially in FL it’s hard to know what will survive the heat, how much to water, how much sun things need, etc... I’ve been struggling with some plants just getting absolutely toasted where I am... great videos, can’t wait to see more!

Hmmm I have eaten PART of this fruit raw many times ... the important thing to know is WHEN to eat it. If you eat too premature, it is toxic indeed. Please everyone do your research and know what you are doing before you consume anything . Eating 101 😎
