Hi, please subscribe to my Knitting channel for tutorials and inspiration. My aim is to help you explore your creativity in Fairsle, stranded colour work and surface pattern design.
Yes sir Can you please show how to do your knitting more clearer with more open hand and more light shown on as you knit. Cannot see how you lift , carry, bring down. Please do the same with the purl. At wnd of rows , knit and purl side, how do you start to knit. Do you twist the threads. Please elaborate. Video is bunchy-not too clear and shine more light please. Lovely video. Thank you
This is BRILLIANT! I have been looking for a fast simple vest to knit up for our Atlantic Canadian Fall weather that has just started. Thank you for your generosity in posting this pattern for free. I have downloaded it and hoping to cast on soon! The bonus is I have found your youtube video podcast😊🇨🇦🥰Sharon.
Great way to catch floats. Could you please show us how to use the green yard to knit too. If you had to knit four oranges and then four greens. Thanks.
I have to thank Mike Judge for getting me here. I just saw the video tonight, and knew I had to follow you. I love your work, and am inspired to try fairisle. Your work is GORGEOUS!! Thank you! ps. In our home, we consider any attention from Mike Judge high praise.
Hi from South Australia ! I knit and crochet constantly leaning more towards crochet 🧶 I buy loads of yarn from charity shops ,what so buy is jumpers etc hand knitted and commercial (mostly acrylic cotton ) and I pull them apart wind the yarn around a bottle and submerge in warm/hot water and leave to dry ! Then my dear husband happily winds them into beautiful balls ,I have crochet 12 lap rugs this year .. love you knitting and I’m going to give it a go .. thank you for the inspiration 😊
I’m so glad I came across your podcast today! Ordered your newest kit today! Then I found more patterns I really like. Because you’re willing to teach us - I’m on board to learn 😅 Thank you for sharing your love of knitting 🧶
Great idea Mrs Smith. I struggled doing a whole scarf in fairisle and haven’t finished it. Can’t even call it a work in progress - there hasn’t been any progress at all.
11:04 Hi yours shorts on floats is brill, you also made me smile. Knitting is my happy place and I get so frustrated in trying to figure out the best method to use and being an English knitter also means you have an added thing to thing about as most videos and patterns I use do continental. You made it doable and fun. Would it be possible for you to do a shorts or video on working in pattern with 2 colours and how you do this method if your also taking into consideration colour dominance when worked flat and then when your doing it in the round. PLEASE! It would be fair to say I’ve got a lot of your videos and shorts to catch up on as I’ve only just found your very good self. And thank you to I believe you said Jo whom I’m thinking is holding the camera. Smiles…..
Oh, Amazing. Gonna slow this video down while eating my pork pie. Did my first fair isle knit this Spring. Star in 3 colours. It all bunched up very tight. Still proud of it.
