Damnit, Randy. You got me all choked up. One of the best memories of my life was with my dad watching the Mariners beat the Yankees in the 95 Playoffs on a walkoff Edgar Martinez double. Before that season, we were best known for Lou Piniella fighting with umpires and Willie Randolph trying to blow a bunt foul but my pops would still take me to the kingdome in front of studs like Henry Cotto, Jeffrey Leonard, Spike Owen, Dave Cochran, Bobby Ayala and Dave Fleming and I didn't care as long as i was with my pops. About 6 months before he passed, he helped drive my Penkske from PA down to FW and we didn't know that the Ms' AA Team, the Jackson Generals had their facility right off of I30. So on our way past Nasvegas before Memphis, I got to spend that special time with my pops. Thank you for writing this song. P.s. I've seen you play in Seattle, ID, PA, CO, TX, TN and OK (and I forgot in Dec of '06 opening up for Dierks and Miranda at the Everett Events Center).
Our wedding song. Love George and Randy. Seen RR many times, and met him few times as well. It fit the occasion and he did a great cover. If i could turn back time I would make enough money to have him redo that day, live.
