The dry air of the Sahara night filled in with the sounds of rubab and clarinet, carefully waving in a groovy four to the floor. Not too fast, not too slow, just in time, right here, right now.
@@pace_of_mind thanks for your guidance. I will go with your choice . finally i oder id 14 .thank you very much ..i am going to subscribe your channel.
Hi! Can you help me with some doubts? I just got this interface set up but the speaker output is very low (have to max it to have decent volume) i conect the 1/2 to my sub and from my sub to the speakers, both have low/hi pass filters. What could be the problem?
Hi! Hard to tell what's the issue is, I'm sending 1/2 directly to the speakers and another 1/2 from the output 3 to the sub. Maybe you could try to connect the speakers directly just to test? Another idea, the outputs of the interface are balanced (TRS), depending on your speakers you either need TRS-TRS cable, or TS-TS cable.
That's what I do, but it's soooo much more expensive and requires a pretty complex setup, a lot of fine-tuning and weekly attention, otherwise the money goes down the drain. Short answer - you need both.
Vintage I don’t know but I’ve opened a few of their products and they all have overheating problems, burnt resistors and audio dropouts. 😞 I really like their sound but I couldn’t have been unlucky on three boxes… And they all have exactly the same problems. Must be a design flaw. (MK1 though and a T-comp)
Youngtimer maybe? 🤔 I am sorry to hear that your units have had such problems. When I did my research I didn't see too many complaints about their reliability. Thanks for sharing, maybe other people will read your message before buying a unit.
@@pace_of_mind it’s a shame because the repairs are quite easy but a few resistors wattages were apparently underestimated. Other than that, they’re very well made and quite unbeatable in terms of price/quality ratio. Just be prepared to use your solder iron from time to time 😌. That prevented me from buying more expensive gear from them like the DTC but for a 300€ channel strip (used), it might also be a great occasion to get into electronics repair work if people are ready to take the leap🙂
Hi! No, never had one, but most interfaces in this price range have very similar specs. Just choose based on the other features you need (e.g. MIDI vs. ADAT, number of inputs, etc.).
@babijii, thank you! Sorry, but I create videos for my music. I suggest you join the Kaiber AI discord server, there are channels where people advertise their services and you can hire someone there!
Since I'm a musician, I'm using many microphones for different needs. My main mic is a DIY LDC mic based on HL Pimped Alice circuit. I also own a Superlux R102, a pair of MKH 416, a pair of Behringer B1, etc. What is your use case? Maybe I can suggest something more specific.
@@ciekaweurzadzeniadeity D4 is a great mic! I don't think you can get any better quality for €100. Try to keep it as close as possible to your mouth and maybe treat the room acoustics a bit.
@@pace_of_mind not much, I have created a small box in which I used many sound absorbing acoustic panels, I have a fan in my room, in night time there is no noise, (only of fans) in day time , my room-it's not acoustically well fully treated(but there is no reverb) , but I've set up some soundproof panels. At night, there's minimal external noise, but during the day, you'll hear dogs barking and children playing occasionally. There's also a fan in the room. I'm considering getting a microphone for voiceovers on my RU-vid channels and podcasts. In the future, I aim to venture into professional voiceovers. Could you advise whether a dynamic or condenser microphone would be better suited for my setup?
I would suggest to use a dynamic one, either Shure 7b or Rode Broadcaster, both are used in pro-grade productions and broadcasting so should suite your need very well
So true! I have also learnt that just because I know how to give up control in one situation does not mean that I will be able to do the same in other circumstances 😭.
Hey buddy I have a question for you I have a good camera and some good lightings How can I make a music video for myself, using a premade song of mine. ?
Hey mate, thanks for dialing in! I assume you have an idea what this music video will be about? Like the story, different scenes, etc? If not, I would start with that. Similarly as I describe it in the video, do a scene-by-scene description/sketches. Then it will be a matter of filming different scenes and putting them together afterwards.
@@pace_of_mind Thank you for the reply back mate All I want is to create a video, in which the video projects a scene from a live performance on a stage with a band with backup dancers and good lightings, similar to a live performance on a stage. I can upload the video of myself lip syncing the song in front of a green or black background. Do you think the AI can create the rest for me ? I greatly appreciate your help.
Gotcha, I’m afraid I never done such thing, but it might be problemstic for you to match the light direction between your shot and the background so the overall picture will look artificial. Try to generate the background first and then film yourself with a matching lights. It won’t be easy though.
Have you tried low impedance headphones with it? My DT 900 Pro X (48 Ohms) sounds terrible with this interface (compared to when directly connected to my MBP headphone jack, which sounds fantastic).
Hi Ramtin! I’ve only tried low quality headphones like Apple Earbuds (40 Ohm I guess) and I didn’t notice much difference so I can’t add much. What I do know is that MBP has a circuit that adopts the RMS voltage depending on the load which might improve the sound.
Thanks for this. It's really helpful. I'm thinking of picking one up, and wondered if you knew how it compared to the UA Volt 4 interface. They are the same price and I do like that the Volt has a MIDI interface. So curious if you are still using the ID14 MkII as well.
Thanks for watching the video! Both of them are in the same price range and have similar specs. Personally, I value ADAT interface over a MIDI interface that you cab buy separately as a $10 usb dongle :-) And yes, I'm still using the ID14 mk2.
Чётко получилось, такой этник дип хаус! Илюха, а дропни плз куда нить трек, я бы на мотике на репите бы слушал. Вообще часовую версию этого чуда надо. В заголовке если указать Fallout cover много просмотров можно собрать ;)
a few years ago it was on aliexpress, today it doesn't have this ci.s and I don't know the replacement. Difficulty purchasing. Sorry, I don't speak English, I'm using the translator
Good morning, I've already taken all the measurements with an ocilloscope, all the tensions are correct, I have two, the other is perfect, I took the test with him, my name is Helder, I know that due to the distance, it's difficult to know how to fix it.
Good evening friend, could you help me, I have one of these but it is clicking on all the channels, I saw some videos on RU-vid that I saw the ci al1401 and the ci al1402 and the ad converter, and the other one, I tried on aliexpress but I didn't find it, I would like to know if you would know of any substitute, for me it's really difficult here, I live in the interior of Brazil
Hi, I am sorry to hear that your ADA8000 has failed. It's hard to diagnose remotely, but I've never heard of these converters failing. My guess would be that it's a clock and/or power problem, have you checked these?
Hello my friend . I have been using Focusrite 18i8 2nd sound card for 8 years. Do you think that if I buy the Audient Id14 Mkii sound card, the quality will be better? How about the vocal recording quality? thank you
Hey Hesam, thanks for watching the video! I think 18i8 is holding its own despite it's age. I would not change unless you have other reasons like instability or lack of features.
Yeah, love mine because of what it offers for such a price, my only issue with it is that it doesnt turn off when I turn my laptop off, I always have to unplug the cable AND EVEN before that, first I have to unplug the headphones so that there's no damage occurance to my beloved HD600s. Then when I want to use it, I connect first the cable to the laptop and then I insert the headphones. Do you also do this or you leave it powered on 24/7?
Hey Robson, thanks for the video! I have my headphones connected to the interface all the time and almost every night I unplug the interface from my laptop to take it with me and watch movies/RU-vid. Sometimes I leave it plugged in and have never had a problem either way.
Hi Robson, that is an issue with your laptop not turning the usb ports on on power off, any usb audio interface would have this issue. However if it is a windows pc this is usually something you can turn off in your BIOS, depending on your computer so you might be able to change the settings. Mac might have a setting too
