Eric Clapton is a great guitarist. However, I think his music is mostly boring and his style of playing is too clean and safe. Jimmy Page was more emotional, imaginative, photogenic, and certainly more successful. Jimmy Page also knew how to move on stage - he was electrifying and entertaining .... Something Eric can never be.

Without rush and led Zeppelin I would have never got to play music it drove me to play music in grade school and on my first drum was a Ludwig snare marching band and on to solo and ensemble music to play at party's and bars etc all the world's a stage seeing drumset it was on and listening to all and a coda price of music from Zeppelin practicing all of John bonam and Neil peart awesome I had to do it and did 2 percussionist and my 136 dollar snare to playing in 4 states just jamming the guitar in both these bands and Jeff Beck also I'm so glad out of love and respect they have not let any drummer play for them not possible none of you can ever be replaced the best is the best much much respect for all of you real brothers my brothers are gone I barley play I hope u all stay in touch I think it's very important I have a guy now wants me to do some fill in some songs I'm gonna try much love to u all

I'm not surprised to hear that Jim Morrison's greatest vocal influence was Frank Sinatra. I've always considered Morrison to sing like an untrained crooner. He had a smooth, wonderful voice, but rough around the edges, which works well for rock, of course. Sinatra and the bands who backed him were great, but I never listened a whole lot to that style of music, although I certainly appreciate it. Too bad Sinatra didn't share an appreciation for rock music.

Love Led Zeppelin, but Clapton may have a point when it came to live shows. Jim Page was notorious for being an inconstant live performer. I know of several people who did said that Led Zeppelin was meh in concert. Anecdotal evidence but people's opinions I trust.

I've come up with some of my best ideas and songs while completly inebriated so idk, to each his own i guess.
