It is one of those movies that makes you think and ponder. The love that Sera and Ben had was volatile but somehow it was pure. We can walk through life hoping to find just one person who accepts us as we are. A brilliant movie and soundtrack.
I saw this in the theater when it came out when I was 21 or so I have the DVD and soundtrack on.CD. I would love to see it on the big screen again now being 50, divorced and a bit of an alcohol addiction
Deux personnes aux despoires, deux rencontres improbables, et un seul amour ne les a pas sauvé, triste réalité. Par expérience, moi qui pensait que l'amour pouvait sauvé de cette différence. C'est tout simplement un beau film, avec cette triste réalité qu'on ne peut pas tout changer par amour..

L'un des plus beaux films français des années 90, qui vient tutoyer sans difficulté des chefs d'oeuvres comme La gloire de mon père, Mayrig, L'homme qui voulait savoir, 3 hommes et un couffin ou La diagonale du fou (pour parler des grands films FR réalisés à cette période). Une pure merveille de psychologie, de psychologie, de drame, de beauté, de complexité, et même d'inventivité sur un certains nombre de scène. C'est même l'une des mise en scène les plus inventives de cette époque. Que Martine Dugowson n'est pas été propulsée au zénith des plus grands metteurs en scène français après un tel coup de maître est une injustice qui en dit long sur le problème qu'on a en France vis-à-vis des réalisatrices. My all time favorite voice and musical icon. I’m so saddened by this news. I recently relocated to Ventura County and he would do local shows here in the area. I always attended. Small venues. I randomly watched this on tv many years ago now. It left me feeling so shook and hollow for days. What a film. One of the best movies out there. Nic Cage was just so excellent in it.
