We bought a property in November 2023 and have slowly been adding the infrastructure to accommodate the livestock. There will be a barn for the horses, a chicken coop and so much more. Join us on our journey as we build and plant and learn our new property! Thank you for following along.
Wow! I was not expecting that! I have been following for a long time and love watching the horses! You guys KNOW what your doing and make sound decisions. Watching the beautiful tribute, your friend was a character! She had a great life with you! Hugs my dear!
Watching your channel for almost a year now and I've seen how your horses are cared for! Your right, most horses are sold off at auction at those ages. You should feel proud that you could give her and all of them the wonderful life and respect. You have these videos to look back on from now on! She lives! Hugs to you!
Thank you Camo! I'm busy around here with odds and ends. Took a weeks' vaca to get some stuff done. Hopefully I can record some of it for ya! My goal is to get more organized and also figure out this camera situation! Thank you for your support!
New equipment is working great! Awesome video quality! Love seeing those beautiful horses ❤ Hang in there we all have those unexpected expenses, but we get through it and it's still cheaper than a new car! Take care! God bless 🙏🤗
This was a random video selection by RU-vid but I saw the horses standing by what just put another creator's horse Voo (VooDoo) in the ICU at A&M for several days 9 day total stay. A T-post barbed wire fence. If they get upset and rear up like he did they could be impaled on the T-posts. He was literally millimeters from severing the carotid and/or jugular in his neck. I didn't feel it was right not to come give you a view and let you know what I saw. I would consider trying to re-fence if possible and if not maybe get some cheap tennis balls and expanding foam to fill em over the top of the t-posts so your beautiful horses are much safer! Just a concerned viewer here that wants to help you keep your animals/furbabies safe! I'll check out your other content too!
Thank you for your observation! These horses are enclosed with t-posts and non-powered high tensile wire fencing. Through the years of owning these 3, they have always honored the fence and stick their heads through only because they think the grass is greener on the other side! lol
@@crazylifehomestead Voo respected his fence too but there were intruders that had him upset and defending his lil herd and that's how he got hurt. It wasn't a typical day for them. I'm glad thus far your babies have been safe and pray they always remain safe!
I know it’s discouraging to lose those plant babies that you planted and cared for. It happens to all of us and boy it’s depressing. But we re-group and start over. Luckily it’s still early in the season. Thank you for sharing your set backs. It is good for people to see the real stuff of this lifestyle 😊
There is plenty of growing season left! Get the trays back up and re-seeded. This exact same thing happened to me 5 years ago. Storms devastated and destroyed my starts and garden! Please don't get discouraged, keep going! Your a trooper!
I believe this is week 12 that we have had consistent rain! I planted starts over a month ago and I can't do anything to get them in the ground!! This is comical at this point...but I move forward!!
We are expecting more on Monday afternoon, through Tuesday and again on Wednesday! I can't plant anything yet because it's so saturated and pooling. I don't even know if the bush beans have drowned....I'll keep y'all posted
What do you have up your sleeve lady?? I'm so curious as to what is coming....OMG! I can watch the birds all day!! Love them! Redheaded finch? I'll have to get my book of birds out.
@crazylifehomestead WOW! Looks really good! Y'all have been working hard! Can't wait to see your garden after everything is planted. The soil looks really rich.
Those plants close to the house look like Hostas. They don't do good here, but there are a jillion varieties and sizes. They do good in shady, damp areas.
@crazylifehomestead I wouldn't classify Hostas as ground cover, because some varieties get 3 ft tall. They do bloom, but the flowers are on tall spikes above the leaves and not showy at all. Yours are probably a medium to short variety.
