I worked for MoDOT and we used to do that but we had the big ones, that has a big arm extensions and they're a lot more powerful, it would take out about a 6 in. Across tree, quickly...

You mentioned not using the first batch for cooking. Would you ever use a non-food grade barrel for making charcoal you intend to cook with (or use for water-filtration), or stick to food-grade?
@tickcreekranch
@tickcreekranch 14 минут назад
@@j.p.saverance8972 Food grade drums have an Epoxy-Phenolic liner in them that will “cook” out. Food grade is probably safest but you should pre-burn the barrel first regardless of type.👍

There are blades like this for trimmers all over the place in Europe. For tall grass, one foot high, everyone uses them. You just have to pay attention to not hit stones as it chips the vidia tooth and its making the blade useless fast. With the guard on it’s not a big hazard. Problem is that most guys I’ve seen don’t use any guard with them. Well everyone takes a risk and pay the price if it happens. Their choice.

Could have dug hole deeper, installed ground-drain system, installed your mobile home in hole, reinforced dirt walls with concrete and rebar, built a concrete roof over mobile home which would rest on concrete walls! Left three feet from concrete walls to exterior mobile home walls. Topped the site with mound system..... Used the same entrance design you used here. Bam! No need for storm shelter!

Professional General Contractor builder here. Also journeyman carpenter/ framer for 17 years. if it would have been marine grade ground contact lumber it would last a lifetime. But it will last a little while. But once the termites find it which may not be very long it will be gone soon with yellow pine of soft woods. But the skills looked pretty good. It will last a several years I believe
