I have built an organizational chart for my company with the visual Hierarchy Chart by Akvelon. Now i would like to filter for a specific team: basically, i would like (with a slicer or other solution) to start the tree at a lower point in the hierarchy.
Hello! Need help, suddenly the flow crash and I think theres something wrong in the connector (Merge PDF Adobe), and it always says: No input was provided for combining files, but I use array file and it works on the previous runs. anysuggestion? Thank you so much.
Hello Devin, is there also a flow to create in Power Automate Desktop to merge several documents with different extensions (.pdf, .doc, .txt, .tiff, .jpg) to one PDF file? So not only PDf files, but all kind of files. Hopefully you can help me with this. Looking forward to your reply. With regards. Diana
Woah!! Thank you! now i know how to pass values in both directions. Just need to remeber to make input and output values in desktop and have a little patience or refresh in cloud to have them show up as options. Sweet!
I want to use power automate desktop to fill a web page with the content of an excel table . First, I will have to match the beneficiary Id from the web and Excel tabe then take each item of the Mother DoB column of the excel table then click on update on the web page and populate. Kindly provide me with step by step guide
Nice video. Question, what are the dimensions and size of your images? Seems quite big, and I am getting blurry and cant see anything, I tried couple of ways to resize it. I am sure the size plays a huge role, is it?
I want to use input and output variables to build tiny desktop flows that can be assembled into larger flows using "Run Flow". All within Desktop Flows. I know that I can use subflows similarly to what Im describing, but subflows are not reusable outside of the flow where the sub-flow lives. I can't figure out how to pass input variables to a desktop flow, from a calling desktop flow. Am I thinking about this wrong? One example might be a tiny flow called "get logged in". It has an output variable called "WasSuccessful". That flow is not useful by itself, but is handy for living within a whole set of my larger flows.
@@desktopdatacrunching4032 Thank you so much! - I will try cloud flow. Again, this is awesome clip - I tried and works much better. Appreciate it! have a great day!
BOOM! I just got through debugging and cleaning some of my code and I look up and see that I haven't created any input or output variables and had no clue what they were for. I created regular variables in my flow as easy as washing my hands but didn't know about this other method. This is going to be a game changer my friend! Drinks on me if you make it to Nashville!
HO LEE SH... Crap! This is a game changer! In my current setup, I get structured PDFs in my email. I save them to a synched OneDrive folder which triggers the AI I build on PA to scrape the PDF for items I need from the doc. Then it emails the values to me in an excel sheet but they are all on one row and not very user friendly to read. My next step is a PAD flow that converts the PA excel sheet into my final customer data sheet in the preferred cells before extracting the values to use to fill in a website where I enter order information into my proprietary real estate software. Using this knowledge, YOU HAVE SAVED ME QUITE A HASSLE!!! Since it's already almost 11pm, I plan to use tomorrow to set up all the new output and input variables into my existing system and give it a whirl!!! Fingers crossed!
This is great but..... i have a folder with 2000 pdf files and I need to merge certain files to create test packs. Several hundred test packs. Each files has a unique #3234 id number and I want to use Excel to parse the files to merge in each test pack. I've tried concatenating file addresses and when I paste this string into the merge files it works BUT when i pass it using a variable it fails. I was thinking if I get a list of ALL 2000+ files in a folder and parsing the files needed using an IF function IF the folder contain files starting with #3234,#3230"1987,#30 then merge theses files and Excel drives this IF variable using currentItem variable.
Thank you Devin. Can we trigger the start of the process by events like time of the day, rather than to have the user click the "Run" in Power Automate?
Do you know how I can iterate over a list of powerpoint files that need to be converted to MP4 videos? I can retrieve the files and then place a recorded action of exporting by clicking on UI elements in a for each loop, but it always repeats the recorded action for the first file only. How can I have a recorded action apply to each file's own UI elements (file tab, export button, save button, etc.) ?
