We owned A207 for 14 years. End unit, 2nd floor. The most incredible view down the coast to Niihau, the spouting horn, whales, etc. the view was 180 degrees. Highly recommend this unit and we miss it so much! Many wonderful family memories.
Make no mistake...this is an extremely dangerous place to enter the ocean...at ANY time of year, but especially this time of year! This is NOT a safe tourist spot....at ALL! And the more this spot is glorified on utube video, the more the danger is amplified! There are many more beautiful (and safe) spots on the island visitors can enjoy! If utube is held responsible for peoples injuries, you will see how quickly these videos will be pulled!
Just watch the beautiful videos. Don't hike down there. Injuries and deaths are ongoing. It can change from calm to deadly in an instant. Don't be the next victim.
One other thing, it is EXPENSIVE to live there. Most jobs, including schoolteaching, don't pay enough to live on. Most everything comes in by boat, or airplane. Local produce & diary is about it. Ecuador is it's own paradise, and it is very inexpensive. They use U.S. dollars, too.
all it takes is 1 sweep into that pool and once the ocean has you, its over, that currents taking you out and you will exhaust yourself fighting it and drown, never to be found again. just saying...
I love watching this video. I've been watching this lot of time because there is very similar spot here in siargao. Named hagucan dive. But now I called it by my self as death pool siargao because of this video that i have seen to your youtube channel. I also uploaded it here to my channel. Thanks for this kind of video. 2 thumbs up!
I hiked down there and while I didn't get in, I didn't find the hike down to be too dangerous. Maybe if it was wet. But the views were worth the effort down.
