One of the best, open-minded, nice, and smart teachers, I know who tries new things constantly himself. A role model for our kids in MO. Kudos to teachers like Adam - backbone of America! - Raj R
I went to university with Garrick, he’s one of the nicest dudes on the planet. Never a bad word to say about anybody, always in a positive but level mood (level as in not obnoxiously hyper-positive). I hope he gets the DJ gig going strong again. Us crips gotta find ways to rediscover how we did the things we loved before. Sometimes we are forced to find new ways which add something brilliant that we never would have discovered if not for tragedy. Power to you Garrick, all the best man! Great to see you on here, it’s been 24 years!
Love how Jane spoke of looking for the beauty. That is where I am in life. It truly is worth paying attention to! I just posted “Divine Art” about being sublimed by the spirit of God, on Medium. Hope you get to check it out.

I joined a choir when I was diagnosed with MS, and especially to recover my speech impairment, but also as singing is so healing. Little did I know that one day our choir was invited to sing with lovely Coco Love Alcorn on stage here in Vancouver. We sang many of here beautiful songs together in Broadway Theater (can I say I sang with Coco on Broadway !!?! 😃). It was a night I will remember forever! Thanks Coco, and as I'm just returning to choir again after "you know what", it will a part of my Healing Journey once again ✨🥰🎶🎵🦋
Wonderful piece on Sisters on the Fly! Great interview Maurrie! I love being a sister and spending time with my fellow sisters here in Canada and in the US. Waving hello from Surrey, BC Canada, I'm Sister # 10990 and the Sisters on the Fly Canadian Wrangler! :) #canadiansistersonthefly #sistersonthefly #wehavemorefunthananyone
Great episode! If only the WWII soldiers had this. A lot of them came back with PTSD but couldn’t define what it was at the time. Genuine unconditional love and support can change a life. No doubt about it.
I had the privilege and pleasure of interviewing Coco several years ago at the Summerfolk Festival in her home town. She's a very special person, very inspiring. I joined her online Wonderland Singers for a series of sessions and, even at a distance, felt the healing power of song and singing together. Experience it if you can.
I sang with Wonderland Singers for nearly two years as i recovered from cancer. I knew a bit of coco's music through folk clubs. It really is the perfect format for learning as there is no anxiety about performing. My voice grew as i felt free to try various harmonies, rhythms and genres too. Cocos spirit is infectious and her heart comes through in her music. ♥️ such fun. Cant help smiling back at her fun loving self when i sing with her!
I began singing with the Wonderland Singers in 2020. I was recovering from breast cancer and seeing really no one as covid was everywhere. I was a little familiar with coco love alcorn through folk circles. I stayed for 1.5 yrs and loved the group and the experience which oddly enough grew my voice as i experimented with different harmonies, rhythms, and had lots of laughs along the way. It surprised me only because of the format. I have recommended this group to many. Very uplifting and healing as coco is quite spiritual and this comes through her music 🎶 . Carry on Wonderland Singers!
