On 2nd Gen 6 there are three machine screws connecting the fender liner to the bottom of the front air dam. Removing them makes pulling the liner back much easier. Love the idea of the Nerf ball to hold it out of the way. 10/10, and thanks for posting!
Great video… Have a question my daughter has a 2011 Mazda V6 grand touring. I have to replace the headlight what a pain in the ass. Have you had the pleasure of doing any light change or fog lights? Any suggestions?
Thank you for the useful video. My kitchenaid microwave door button stopped working and your video was very instructive in how to disassemble and fix the problem. The mounting notch on one side snapped off on my microwave, which I JB-Welded back into place. 2 days in the repair is holding well.
Excellent video. You mentioned a special bit to remove the screws - a "Torx 20"? Will a standard flat head or phillips head screwdriver work? If I need the special one, where can I get it?
Do you remember what code you got? I just got a p0421 code today and I'm praying it'd just the sensor and not the cat converter that needs to be replaced
Do you recommend using new upgraded spark plugs that are in the market like fine tip, double iridium spark plugs etc over the factory spec spark plugs ?
My microwave is Whirlpool Gold GT4175SP stainless, not sure if it's the same model but it seems it is. My issue is the door button can be pressed and popped out - not stuck there - but the main door won't open. Is that the same issue?
It's December and my daughter has to drive to work in the dark. Teens fahrenheit and can just get nose of car in garage with all my crap, haha. This video sped things up for me. Took wheel off and glad I did. Many thanks!
Thank you so much for this video. It was very thorough and helpful. We were going to call a repairman; but instead it cost us less than $15.00 to get our Kitchenaid Microwave fixed. Thank you, thank you, thank you,
always some detail that I know I'm missing something. After doing this, magnetic socket is required. Im 50 not sure why this is the car i need one but is what it is.
Would you be willing to share any details about the system recharging process? I'm specifically interested in knowing how much oil you added to the AC system.
Plastic push pins or retainer clips maybe but they are not pop rivets.. Anyway.....I think there is an easier way to do this. @foxmulder3833 has the right idea. Just remove the 3 screws at the bottom and then it moves out of the way easily.
How did you finally manage to get that clamp on the lower intake hose off. The struggle is real. Trying to remove it without taking the intake off and not having much luck. I can get it to turn but not slip off.
My 58 year old female self (along with a strong teenage boy for lifting in/out) was able to follow along and successfully fix my microwave!!!!! I could not have figured this out without this AWESOME video. Sincere GRATITUDE and APPRECIATION!!!!
Great job explaining and demonstrating the need to know warnings. I’m headed into this job as gas fumes are present. I will try the starter fluid suspecting a leak. But the tips are great. Nice job. Did you find a “fuel pressure regulator atop the fuel rail? Seems most issues are with smelling gas it’s leaking. Wish me luck, Man. Steve Plymouth MA
Thank you for showing the pins and the color of the wires, I have been searching for many hours to find what the yellow wire with the black strip controls, cause mine was damaged by a rodent and then was pinched under the intake causing injector 6 circuit malfunction. Thanks again!
Yeah I am going through the P0171. I did the smoke test and the only leak was through the hose at the SAI valve. I rebuild the head and valve job recently. This happened after. So the intake was torqued at 89in/lb. The TB was cleaned and gasket replaced. I just ordered the PCV hose that is cracked. Could not find a leak with the carb spray. The fuel pump is new. Didn't check the pressure yet. Car runs great. I have 900 rpm issue. When that happens the downstrwam O2 variates 0.1 to 0.9 aswell as the O2 upstream. After the code is active the O2 stay at .7 or .8. STF goes from negative 10 to positive 10 I actually saw a 19 there briefly. The long term trim actually goes to 9 on acceleration and goes to 3.1 on deceleration. So I am not really sure what is next.
Hi gyong, been a while since I dealt with the p0171. I would doubt it's fuel pressure issue if the car runs well at full throttle. My mind tends to the MAF sensor - is it OEM? Did you clean it regardless? Assuming you disconnected the battery to ensure the Throttle Body relearn would take place. Would be really crappy if it was a fuel injector since they are so hard to get to in this truck. Did you run some high quality fuel injector through the tank? You can measure the resistance/ohms on the injectors by disconnecting the connection plug - I have another video out here which explains the pin-out and what I found. The fuel line schrader valve is right there behind the AC cross over bar if you want to connect a direct hose to try to clean the injectors. My other thought would be, and this is a big reach, is your battery voltage up to spec? Good luck man! Let me/us know when you have it figured out. Be cool - pay it forward. :-)
The front side is relatively simple - I wish you would have demonstrated the difficulty level to get in and remove the Coil and sparkplug on the back side
I think there's enough videos of how to remove the manifold easily available on RU-vid. However, this video saves you so much time and gives critical troubleshooting info in an extremely digestible format that can save you time guessing if your injectors have issues and which one in particular using a multimeter. Thanks man!
Hahaha I just rebuilt the top part of that engine, valve job etc so I have to take it all out. An exhaust bolt broke so to fix that had to take the head out. Yeah at first it was a pain, but I got used to the auperman stance and to that sucker out in 5 min or less. The exhaust manifold was cracked if you're wondering why I broke the bolt. So I also took out the oil pan to get tye front cover off to do proper timing. Now I am getting P0171 and 900 RPM. I will do what you suggested with the carb spray. These cars are a pain to work on without the proper tools. On that intake far end bolt I used a 1/4 inch swivel even though I also have the flex. I did torque it also using the longer extension and stuck the torque wrench underneath..Once you do it you adaptand it works out better. Anyways thanks for the video.
