If we can only have 2-3 pokemon reps, I know pikachu has to have a spot, but why not also include Raichu as one of the few heavy(er)weights? Be like melee ganon type: slower, but stronger (and occasionally longer) move with unique animations? If we can add a 3rd rep, why not go for someone completely unique in Sawk (Maybe Troh as an echo/alt costume)? Could have an entirely unique moveset and would be one of it not the most perfect Unova representatives. If there can be third party characters, I would suggest Raiden from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Could be a faster and more single strike style characters that are mainly going for one strong slash instead of long combos? Could be cool.
In all honesty, if every roster was just popular characters it would become too boring if there isnt variety. The wicked witch is an old school one yet one of the most known villains in the classic era, plus the play of Wicked brought some audience too.
this has to be the whitest video I've ever seen. But yeah, I think we should wait a few more years before we can get another installment. Trust me, as an F-Zero fan, patience is key.
Entertaining vid bro, good job 👍 I think they are definitely gonna do a “Mario kart 8 deluxe” for smash ultimate, makes the most sense. Unlike Mario kart though, they don’t have the luxury of just adding a new map to satisfy fans they would need to add more characters, and I don’t see them doing that, but who knows.
@@Team-Eclipse6024yeah that’s what I keep thinking about. The nature of Nintendo’s next console is gonna reveal a lot on how a deluxe ultimate would work. If it ends up just being a switch pro and this is compatible with all current switch games then I could see Nintendo just continuing dlc for ult. When talking about the next smash I feel like deluxe has become this all encompassing word for “same game, more content”. An actual release wouldn’t be necessary and if I’m keeping it 100 ,as the kids say, I don’t think a literal deluxe version is likely.
One thing i noticed is that the rarest MVS achievement on steam "And your little dog, too!" (get 100 double ringouts) is a quote from the witch. I think its very likely we'll see her in the game.
There are so many characters I could not care for. Cool that they are there, and nice to see others get what they wish for, but usually not everyone I am genuinely excited for. WICKED WITCH OF THE FUCKING WEST HOWEVER, hell yeah. She and Scorpion would be tight as hell for this game. Good video! Love the moveset ideas.
Honestly, I think the Wicked Witch is a very valid pick for MultiVersus to show off IP it owns. The Wizard of Oz is pretty iconic, truly. But I wonder if there's anything from Wicked musicals, other movies based in the Oz universe, the original book, etc. that they could pull from? Generally speaking...I'm not too mindblown by that moveset. The hourglass sounds like an interesting mechanic, and it's one I can't think of a Smash counterpart for. I am afraid that might be because the mechanic could be a bit too powerful though, depending on how exactly it works.
These move ideas are sick, btw, but I would imagine they'd want some Wicked rep in there too. At the very least one of her victory screens could be her caring for Chistery somehow
Smack bludgers at people as well as know projectiles back at people, run up on em on a giant chess horse, throw gnomes at people, use some of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes products and use that slug belching hex.
Considering how tone deaf Nintendo is and how they recently destroyed tournaments featuring their games, I'm like 80% convinced the lack of a tournament mode in ARMS 1 was just them being oblivious to how bad the way of unlocking ARMS is. If we get an ARMS 2, the lack of a Tournament Mode is far from the only thing that needs fixing. The release with only 10 characters, the lack of variety and singleplayer offline content, the balance and the simplistic gameplay (as fun as it is for me) need some heavy tweaking as well.
Dude I used to hate arms a crazy amount because I thought Nintendo was trying to abandon Splatoon and replace it with this game. Anyways, this video is awesome!
So you’re not crazy. It’s something I’ve noticed with Nintendo multiplayer. They want to leave room for the next game. Also, in my head I swear they don’t want another melee situation and do everything in their power to keep fans moving.
you had a great camera presence. and as a long-time Arms lover, i really want it to be a launch title. I miss Misango and Spring Man needs to be in smash bros after how dirty they did him
1 minute in and it already made me drop the lil like and sub and hitting the bell for the notification and leaving a comment for the youtube alogirthm like any good soldier would do when they are faced with such good content (especially when found in such a tiny channel. Then it becomes a moral obligation.) Your acting is making this whole video very very entertaining !
I think a major fault in your argument: "Nintendo knows how to make games. They know game design." Not going to be that person and say they don't. I like Nintendo games. Nintendo knows how to make *singleplayer* games. You're giving Nintendo too much credit when they haven't ever released an online game that's satisfying to be in. Maybe they're sabotaging ALL their online games, if you want to go that route, but every game with online, and even technically just multiplayer, has had one major issue, to run it competitive or otherwise. The only one that's been *somewhat* okay is Smash Bros. Ultimate, and that's because it wasn't all Nintendo. You can go to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and you quickly realize, oh yeah, you have to unlock everything in that one too. And you do so by playing hours and hours. Strikers Battle League, dead on release, was it a roster sabotage? Possibly. But it also had to unlock stuff. Splatoon? Unlock stuff. Lobbies in most games have issues too, as they do in ARMS and Splatoon. Heck, even online had issues up until Smash Bros. Ultimate. Smash Bros. 4 had the custom specials that lacked balance and you had to unlock. Brawl's was laggy and barebones (Understandable for their first attempts). You have to unlock most of the roster in SSBU too and that takes a while. They lack major knowledge to make things that people want for online. As for why did they add Min Min to ARMS? They still have F-Zero in it, it really doesn't mean much, especially for a character added during pandemic times if you want to claim roster legacy for F-Zero. You're severely overestimating Nintendo's knowledge and budget they're willing to put towards ANY of their games, ARMS wouldn't get special treatment.
