Lee and Tim are two Flight Sim and Aviation Enthusiasts who created our channel concept in December 2018 after our Virtual Airline, Flying Tigers Group, disbanded in Jan 2019. Without a home, the channel became our mission, and FT in our name is a tribute to our former VA.

Our aim is to enhance your virtual flight experience, and grow the community. Our content should not be used to operate real-life aircraft. Seek proper instruction from a licensed instructor. Please share your knowledge, constructive feedback, and content ideas with us to help grow this channel into one you look forward to coming back to.

As of XP12 there's actually a 2d glideslope guide on the map. Just open the map, select the destination runway number and "show glideslope". It should show you some how close or far you are from the ideal glideslope. I wound up on this page because I couldn't keep my lateral landings straight.

Yes, but it was a Boeing... So there's always that unknown if all the bolts were holding the stabilizer, the engines, etc. Remember, if the buyer did not pay extra for the necessary items, sensors, gaskets, bolts . . . There's simply no way to know whether they were installed or not.

"Economy Climb Page"? I've never heard nor seen that page. How do you get to it? Never even seen a setup video mentioning it. @ Approx 9:00 minutes. Can you also do a video on how to use the flight map things on the pilot's left side?

Can you do a video on using saved flight plans? I have one saved into the correct folder but could use help in getting it into the FMC and functioning correctly. Also, how to edit these once in the FMC to correct any errors that might arise.

As I've suggested to many other authors of videos like this, you should review and use procedures and checklists from an actual airline that operated the type. Battery voltage before starting APU. Check fire detection system before starting APU. You should NOT select STBY on Essential Power sw when you did; it will deplete battery quickly. Check APU Crank annunciator when starting APU. ALWAYs check Volts/Freqs before selecting any power source. I could go on. Yes, I taught 727 and other types and have thousands of hours at the panel and at the controls of this type.

Yep. The APU is in the belly. The exhaust comes out of the top of the right wing by the fuselage. We had to be careful when we deiced it to not blow glycol into the exhaust or you could flood it out and then it would fill the cabin with smoke. Amazing airplane. Great video also. Appreciate you

Did the brakes actually release? Check your key bindings, sometimes they are a toggle.

Not sure how these would work, but if you’re running another p2p voice program, they’d probably work fine. If you’re really world through and intercom, they’d probably also work well.

How do you actually buy the commodity???? there is no button or anything to indicate how to actually purchase stuff

Under the Cargo Jobs and Pax routes tab, select Overview Map, then on the left vertical column Commodity Stocks. Not all commodities are available at all airports, so you have to pick and choose based on where you want to fly for the “biggest bang for the buck”! Hope this helps. -Lee

I think the cannons are meant to be the 20mm Hispano. If it is a HE round, it would probably be something in the ballpark of 100g TNT, or a bit more than a hand grenade. Definitely exaggerated explosion, but definitely neat to have a weapon equipped plane nonetheless. As for the machine guns, it would depend on the model, but I think that one would fire 4 .303 Browning. Essentially similar to .30-06 or 7.62x54.

Can you make a detailed video of an ILS approach? Sometimes it goes well, sometimes ILS sends me away instead of to the runway, the arrow on the instruments points away from the runway and I don't know why! thanks in advance!

Are you suggesting with this aircraft as well, the G1000 in general, or just an ILS approach. I can’t promise it’ll be a quick turn around on the video, but I’d be open to the idea -Lee

@@FlightBrothersFT With the g1000, That's usually where things go wrong, I'm just a beginner! I suspect I'm missing something important! Is it the approach route, I don't know! If I arrive directly to an airport with the GPS, I switch to ILS as soon as I hear the Morse code from the beacon, and then I fly until LOC appears on the instruments and press the nav button and the APR button. and for example I am very sure that the runway is to the right of my flight path and sometimes it sends me to the left and I don't know why! thanks in advance

This was a completely different type of turbulence. When you are flying that close to a mountain of that scale, there is a lot of clear air turbulence, and i mean a LOT. The forces were so violent that they ripped off parts of the tail of the plane and the wing, and everything else followed.

6:21 APU damper flap is IIRC APU air inlet. 7:00 Upper one is APU heating (OBOREB BCY). Lower one is DC fuel pump. Heating is used to heat APU compartment for starting in temperatures below -25*C. 7:45 BCY is APU DC generator, PAN is DC ground power. OBORP AKK is battery compartment heating (with yellow lights). 12:26 That is bleed air and air conditioning panel.

My apologies @user-ew6lx4xw2u. I was able to zoom in on my mobile device, so perhaps that would help. This was an early video and I did not zoom appropriately during many of those videos, I had a large tv as my monitor so everything seemed fine at the time, but we discovered later some more consistency. I do apologize and hope you may find some of our other videos, especially later ones, more enjoyable for you. Thanks! -Lee

HELP. Whenever it's time to descend, VNAV switches off to "CWS P" (I never made any inputs onto my joystick and the ACT ECON DESCENT page is configured), and when I try to reengage VNAV, it doesn't work. Keep in mind that I have my altitude dialed to my next waypoint after the T/D. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

So your selected altitude remains below the VNAV profile correct? CWS iirc is control wheel steering, it makes a Boeing similar to an Airbus in the control inputs. It’s been a long time since either of us has done any sim flying, but as long as the altitude is below once T/D is reached, it should reduce thrust and begin the descent via the VNAV profile.

Hey I am trying to set the N1 Limits, but it seems our FMC doesnt have the N1 Limits button that everyone else seems to have... How do we set it? I dont like the engines going to full 100% and going red during N1 Takeoff

The default FMC doesn’t restrict N1 nor does it allow a deregulated takeoff. It only applies to the Zibo, and other Payware A/C like Flight Factor et al.

The cockpit was a good mod for the ac 130. But the main problem is that it cause the plane to roll to the left when full power during takeoff.😢

I believe the Zibo has it available, however you need the Avitab plug in for chart functions

If they are a low rating they have to wait and be upgraded once they able to by weight. Another option is to hire another employee that already has the type.

However as I have quite recently migrated from fsx to xplane therefore I was wondering if your team has made a video on how to plan a flight prior to programming it into the CDU (the default one).

Yeah we are long in the tooth for a video, but we still keep in touch with commenters. I (Lee) have been considering a separate hard drive and continuing with XP12 content. Both of us have expanded our families since we created the channel and content creation and sim time has taken a back seat. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for taking the time to let us know!!!

Great stuff!!! I have been on Vatsim for a while now but still not comfortable to get off into deep waters with ATC communications. Mainly 122.800 flying with Vatsim remaining free from controlled airspace.

We’ve flown on VATSIM only a few times but figured this would help people. The best way to get the hang is find an airport and just sit on the ground and listen. Get used to the phraseology before trying. Then you can find an airport that isn’t super busy and fly a GA around VFR, then you can talk to them and work your way in. Oddly, I work at an airport and speak to ATC daily for my job, but firing up VATSIM and being on the “airplane” side is still a bit intimidating….the irony isn’t lost. -Lee

Those are not modeled through the default FMS unfortunately.

Like others who have commented below, I'd like to add my two cents. Upon engine startup, isn't it essential that the engine/s generator voltage and frequency be manually put into phase before connecting them to the sync bus? I didn't see this paralleling happen in the startup sequence. Thanks.
