Hi, I'm listening and watching the truck industry and freight movement change dynamically over the past couple of years. Being a truck driver, I'm highly interested in getting out on my own, independently. Uber freight popped up and became highly sought out for owners trying to have more control of load destination decisions. Choice of going where he decides this without the complications of planners and dispatcher's controlling how much work you can do and where you can go. I'm interested in all information to work with your company and move forward in the industry as it grows in this new direction, LTL, AI and so forth.
Good afternoon, the business model is still the same. Big business can offer a product or services that completely takes over an industry. Then the smaller companies has to come up with a way to compete and bring their sales up! Like the big name truck stops, they took over for years now the smaller convenient stores are now offering a more aesthetic and eye catching in store experience and more products inside and way cheaper fuel.

Seems yellow was a large ltl carrier and the company hauled every kind of freight with pricing deals to a great deal of their customers. LTL: less than a truckload, pays well by way of several ltl's on a single trailer. My thoughts are on the owner operator a limited equipment number! Does this type of company, one that does not plan on ever have large numbers of equipment, do they have a place to thrive in working with a company like Uber? Thank you for any response.
Hi, I'm an independent contractor, pulled port freight out of Jacksonville FL and Savannah GA. I get fifty percent after fuel driving someone's truck. Three concerns are the rates, chassis and port congestion with truck traffic. Back in June of last year the rates was good, fuel surcharge was good, in January this year all went down and I'm living paycheck to paycheck. If you have your own chassis, getting in and out of the port is faster, waiting on a port chassis is lengthy at times. Congestion is bad in certain days along with getting in and out as well as waiting to be off loaded and loaded. I can only imagine what an owner operator deals with on cost of operation. So rates, owned chassis, fuel cost and congestion would greatly improve the drivers ability to move freight.
