Hope you had a pleasant break, Clive? I notice you use very light brush strokes when building up wet on wet layers. Is this why your under painting doesn't grin through? Malcolm
Hi Clive, That must be very hard to paint with green when you can’t see green color. Thanks for the lesson today. Always enjoy watching you paint. Kindness, Teresa
I REALLY NEEDED TO HEAR THAT! I have to keep reminding myself it's MY art. I haven't allowed that to penetrate my soul until today, somehow with all the different things I watch on RU-vid, you are the second person to give me this advice today. I will place your words on my palate to always remind myself. Thank you! BTW as a 53 year old you'd think I'd have already learned this lesson!
Absolutely love the content and simplicity of your videos!!! Thank you for sharing mate😉 BTW….watching you makes me miss home, it’s been too long since I’ve been back….😞
Just wanted you to know that… growing up watching Bob Ross.. (Massachusetts , New England PBS 90’s kid) I was hooked by his calm demeanor and his ability to capture nature in a way that inspired beauty. You Clive (for the past 1.5 yrs) have inspired me and taught me like a patient teacher from afar in the same way. Your kind demeanor, non judgmental personality, and endless knowledge keeps me wanting to learn. In fact I’m going back to school! Thanks Clive and your fam for all your hard work and dedication to the craft. Kindest regards and safe travels to you all from us to yours. 🙏🏻👩🏼🎨🖼️🧘🏼♀️🖌️🎨
Thank you for this and I hope your hand has heeled. It really helped having a simple painting to practice with, it gave me more confidence rather than trying a difficult one. Question: how do you increase the vibrancy of the white? I find mine is often dull and I'm not sure if because it is student grade paint. Cheers.
Nice one Clive. Doesn’t need to be complicated to be a good painting. I always get something out of your tutorials, so thank you. Hope you have a great holiday.😎🇦🇺🦘
Thank you for such a relaxing scenery. I try watching your videos when I've had a cruddy day, and I always calm straight down and am able to fall asleep 😊
Watching how easily you paint encourages me to keep painting, and try not to stress over each painting. Your chatting makes me feel as if I’m sitting in the shed/studio with you with a cup of tea. Safe travels to you and Jane!
For mine I ground up some chalk using a cheese grater, and I did end up using this acrylic paint I have. It was this cheap one from amazon that I can't paint with bc it's very runny (I was testing the brand), so I'm happy I don't have to waste that paint anymore now lol. My gesso has a bit of chalk parts tho that I can see on the canvas so it's not as ground up as it could be, but I'm still learning so I'll try to find out if that's not so bad.
