2023 and i still suffer from CTD at launch before any logos even show up... this is absolute travesty that the game was left in this state. Ironically, crashing only became an issue after Chapter 3
I cannot summon my freighter nor can I summon any of my ships or animals. If this is not fixed I honstely think IM just going to drop the game which I don't want to do
It helped me for 1 to 2 saves. Soon after I camp, the game goes through it's thing. After I choose the meal for the gang to eat, The screen goes black and the soothing jazz interlude music keeps playing.
After hours of testing I finally managed to fix the issue. Just follow these steps and let me know if this worked for you! 1.) Join your friends lobby and locate a portal 2.) Input the the coordinates/portal glyphs of the system you are currently stuck at on your character save. (If you are unsure of the coordinates/glyphs of the system you got stuck in, deploy a signal booster and access it in the system you are stuck in. The coordinates of your planet/system you are in will be displayed bottom left corner, then you can convert the coordinates to portal glyphs via a portal decoder tool.) 3.) Go through the portal and once you arrive back into the system you are stuck in, ask your friend to leave the game via quitting to the main menu. This will make you the host of the lobby. 4.) Once your friend has left the lobby, disconnect your console from the internet. This should force your game from an online game into a single player game if done correctly. 5.) Check to see if you are offline by seeing if the options menu is giving you the option to reload, however do NOT reload. 6.) Once offline and in a single player game, while still in the system you were originally trapped in, go BACK through the portal you came through. Then create a manual save with a beacon or save point and also hop in and out of your ship to create an auto save. 7.) Once you have created both a manual and an autosave, quit to the main menu and load up a single player game on the original save that was trapped. And now you should be out of the bugged system:)

@@imdrifterhd7592 use a Signal booster and search "alien artifacts", then keep searching until an alien monolith is located. Then use the monolith to locate a portal. You will need an item to locate the portal such as a korvax casing, gek relic or vykeen dagger.
Choose the solo game mode at the mode select screen and load the save that you are having this issue with. After loading in, build a Base Computer and a Save Point or Beacon, something that allows a manual save. Claim your base at the Computer and remember the name. I did not upload my base so that is not necessary. Save manually at the Save Point and also jump in and out of your ship to auto save. I do not know if it is necessary to save both ways, but if you were in my situation I was stuck in my auto save and manual save slot so I had nothing to lose. If you want to be cautious, you can back up your saves before you do this. After saving , quit to the mode select screen. Optional step here. I logged back into solo mode with the same save again quick just to be sure that my base saved. If you do this step, quit to the mode select screen after you are finished. Join a random player's game(or a friend's game if you like) and if you have multiple saved games, be sure to load this same save file you just built the base on. When you load in to the host's game, fly directly to the space station and dock. Remember the space station name for later, it shows in the top left corner of the screen when you are docking. In the space station, go to the Terminus portal/Teleporter and use it. You should see the name of the base you just made in solo mode on the destination list. Teleport to your base through the Terminus.(When I did this step, there were actually many options. The stations I had visited recently before I got stuck in my prison system were listed there. I had a feeling this was fixed already since those showed up but I wanted to be absolutely sure so I continued with the plan I had.) After arriving back at your base, save at your save point and jump in and out of your ship to auto save. After saving, quit to the mode select screen. Choose the solo game at the mode select screen and load the save we've been using this whole time. After loading in, you should be at your base still. Jump in your ship and fly to the space station of your system. After docking, go to the Terminus and activate it. You should see the space station name from Step 8 in the destination list. Teleport there.(Again, I had many destinations available. In my case, there was a system in the old Galactic Hub that I wanted to get back to in my destination list so I chose to go to that station instead of the one I teleported from in step 8 and the method still worked. At this point, if destinations are showing up, you can go to any of them and it should work.) After teleporting into the space station, jump in your ship and fly out to space. Open your quick menu and your Freighter and Galactic Map should both be available. FREEDOM! Did so. But at Step 8 I landed in space and died, because the system I was stuck on didn't exist in the other guys game. I'm still stuck and all out of hope.

Danny Bigz I am not sure as of yet. I did get a chance to try last night, however the system crashed hard after my friend left and I was warping back thru the portal

My only suggestion is to join multiplayer games. It seems to be instance based, as in you leaving your instance and entering anothers "fixes" the problem. Single player is still hosed, good luck travelers.
Same thing!!!! I’m stuck in a system. PORTAL INTERFERENCE. I can use portal in space station, however on the other side, says same thing. I have 4.2 billion units. Plus everything else... I don’t wanna start over.
This happened to me as well. The system I am stuck in has no structures of any kind including no space station. There is also a ‘lifeless’ ringed planet teeming with plants and animals.... and about 20million units disappeared (less of a big deal because pretty easy to make it back...at least it used to be)
Does not help. It loads up but as soon as the square enix logo appears, it does that whole indefinate loading screen bull. I cannot reach the title screen. I did what both videos suggested. My problem isnt black screen or grey, its infinate frozen loading screen
This did not fix anything for me still black screen on fullscreen mode... Its totally ridiculous what the company did with this,i cant even run the 20gig demo that i waited few hours to download and once i set it to Fullscreen game screen goes just black and crashes,total BUULSHIT from part of the developer Company and EA (EA does this all the time it seems) that allowed this to go out troubleshooting and with so many problems.
I have my FFXV installed on my D: Drive and not my C: Drive, would this affect it at all or would I need to change the virtual memory to 10GB for my D: Drive as well? (I'm asking as you said in the video that it should only affect the C: Drive, which is a problem for me- and I'd like to know of any solutions)

Oh I see, I'm pretty sure it's up to the developers to fix it at this point.. I was able to play for almost 9 hours earlier today, but my problem didn't occur until I started opening things up in the background (aka streams, music, twitter, fb, youtube- a ton of tabs in chrome and some random programs) which I've noticed most of only my crashes are due to opening things in the back or just the constant tabbing (and full-screen adjusting) i'm doing. I have a fairly beefy computer so it shouldn't be anything on my part and I should be totally able to handle opening and running 3 games all on ultra settings and be fine- so it is either the constant tabbing out/in I'm doing or just the game itself- which is up to the devs to fix. Anyways thanks for the video anyways, showed me insight on other problems.
I just bought the game and having the grey screen crash, I've i7-8700K 16GB RAM and GTX 1080Ti, but I've seen this is an issue that most of the users are getting.. still no major updates or any news about it?
iTsHeartBeat i'm playing on high preset 1080p with 150% 3D rendering and it crashes (95fps average) i tried to lower it to 100% but it crashes anyway..
