Thank you for leaving a comment on my channel. I love to meet other creatives here. Your art is beautiful. I've just been looking at your content. I'm so happy you are sharing your work. I know exactly what you mean when you say thumbnailing and scripting is taxing. I also have to prep properly before hopping to draw. It is always interesting to hear how other creatives are running their shops. I'm still trying to figure out how I can set it up here where I am. Also, your inks look so opaque, beautiful work. :) I'll have to take some time this weekend to read your comic! I'm looking forward to following your journey!
Wow, so that's how you make it look so good! Also, I got a kick out of the ironic contrast between the peaceful background music and the intensity of the panel you were shading. Made me smile :)
Your drawing are very good... As a person who did manga drawing, its a blursed. I loved doing my own story but at the same time it really stressed me out a lot... And good luck
Wow i do like these sketches and ink lines you do for your character, I'm still learning and practicing for mines and I'm still also in the mood and hope one day my manga gets published and known 😊
@@RyuuChan3821 sounds great! I haven't decided what to do about tones yet... I'll probably do them digitally if I have them. (I am so tempted to try doing traditional screen tones, but that sounds so terrifying ha ha)
So exciting! These drawings came out beautiful! I love Deleter paper for how thick it is too---I've never seen that other brand you showed. Can't wait to see more!
Thank you! That other brand has a wonderful texture, but I feel kinda nervous sketching/erasing on something so thin. I need something a smidge more durable, I think 😂
Did you watch this through, props for uploading but as an artist this cannot possibly please you in terms of being a well shot piece of footage, unless not being able to see a thing is somehow a statement of some kind. Again nothing but love for posting. You’re doing what I can’t seem to make myself do. So you win life, but really did you intend this??
Thanks for your perspective! You're most definitely calling me out 😆 I'm certainly not as *proud* of this video as my usual content, but I've been wanting to experiment with a more casual, less polished filming style. Comic-making takes a ton of work and energy, and so does video editing. It's incredibly hard to do both, so I want to try "lowering the bar" for my videos a bit. Part of that experiment means posting it publicly to see how the video performs... and this one is actually outpacing all of my other content (in terms of the first 2 hours.) I'm really curious to see if it continues to perform well. If I were *just* doing RU-vid, I wouldn't share this video (or if I was making a tutorial.) But as a comic artist who just happens to make RU-vid videos, it's a simple look into a small step of my process. I'm gonna keep experimenting with my process and setup, though. This video doesn't quite have the "vibe" I'd like just yet.
I'm glad you're feeling better! And I put on your vlogs when I draw - I especially love the inking portions! With voiceover or music, it's wonderful either way :) so excited for this next chapter!
I have the same feeling about making art that won't eventually be a product - it makes the creative process so much more intimidating, and (for me) it's counterproductive! This was a lovely vlog :) thanks for sharing!
omg so I'm so glad I found your channel, I'm obsessed! Love your thrifted espresso maker it's so cute and I think your inking footage is great, music or chit-chat is fine, that last shot of seeing the two inked pages side-by-side was really cool.
As someone who works mostly digitally (esp with webtoon stuff) but who Greatly admires traditional artists, I LOVE the inking footage!! I also love hearing you talk over it/about your process while watching the inking footage. I like watching chatty vlogs tbh bc I like to listen to them while I work/draw, and just music means I tend to not know or follow along with what's going on bc my eyes are often glued to my drawing tablet 😅 I'd say, if you ever gather a lot of inking footage, that it would make a really great longer format video where you chat about a particular topic (that you feel like talking about)! It's fun to see your process, and it actually made me want to buy one of those pens to try out inking traditionally myself haha. Thanks for the vlog, I really enjoyed watching it!!
