Veteran entertainment and movie reporter Tim Lammers of DirectConversations.com shares his interviews past and present with some of hottest stars in film and television.
I've done cheesy stop motion video thousands of pictures on a tripod to make a 10 minute film😅 and it turned out okay- I did a Alien Queen figure by neca fighting Ripley in the walking loader!!! Also by neca😊😊😊
The color version is the tough one ta find!!! That's nowhere not even comic book shops in my area have it!!! Only BBTS Big Bad Toy Store 😅 they still have it for $37.99😊
I'd grab it there when you can -- that's just a couple bucks more than usual -- NECA seems to be restocking the monsters stuff all the time, though, so you could wait -- but BBTS has reasonable shipping, too.
How old is this video 😅 The black & white version of bride of Frankenstein is at all the Meijer stores in our area in Michigan on sale for 50% off of its original retail price even at that price they just sit there!!! Meijer down the street from me has 4 of them that just sit there SHELF WARMERS 😅😅😅
I just got this and my card is blank out of 30 thousand . A tik toker apparently spoke to McFarlane about this issue and they apparently just messed up with it at the factory , huge error
I love the Jada monster figures, I made sure to pick up all of them including the deluxe set. It’s a shame they lost the license to make Universal Monsters. The prototype of the Mummy looked awesome. They could have made so many more characters. I would love to have a Glenn Strange version of Frankenstein.
Thanks for the great review, Tim! It's so cool to see Orlok next to Bela's Dracula. Add in the upcoming Horror of Dracula release and you'll have an "ultimate" vampire shelf! And I agree that this version of Orlok also works as a "black and white" version, given the sepia tone of the movie.
Another great review, Tim! I think I like the Jada figure even more than the NECA suited figure, probably because the unwrapping accessory is just so cool. But I'll also be picking up the recently announced NECA release that has the robe.
Great videos! Very informative, thank you for sharing! Is the brick display (between the mummy & frankenstein sets) part of a collector's set from neca?
Hello! You can try AbyStyle's website although they are out of stock at the moment: www.abystyle.com/en/search?controller=search&s=Corpse+Bride ... Also, Amazon has Victor in stock www.amazon.com/ABYSTYLE-Collectible-Wedding-Couples-Figurine/dp/B0CKJ9JZ7B/ ... good luck!
Thanks Tim ! I'm making a list of NECA figures I want to buy and am struggling with Black & White VS Color versions. Although I could just buy BOTH for the ones they did two color schemes. I think I like the COLOR better, but I feel the B/W are more "Authentic", would appreciate your feedback on how you decide what to buy for your collection. Thanks.
You're welcome, Don! I definitely prefer the black and white version to the color ... I'm glad they made the color one, but the B&W is far superior. Thanks for watching the video!
Although Lugosi wore a different ring in the 1931 movie. This ring was seen first on John Carradine’s finger in „House of Frankenstein“ and „House of Dracula“ and Lugosi wore it only later in „Abbot and Costello meet Frankenstein“.
I have the Neca AC/DC figures, and Bill and Ted as Wyld Stallions...I think I gotta get this EJ set though the 1976 set sounds more appealing to me. I was 6 at the time so I remember all the hype surrounding the bicentennial.
It's a really cool set. I like the look of it better than the follow-up set they did of him ... Would love to see them produce one of him in his "I'm Still Standing" video! Thanks for watching the video!
yeah dont forget the headless horseman,,and the prophecytrilogy and king of new york.the deer hunter a great movie.figure will be mine friday from ebay 17$ plus 5 to ship.looking forward.!!!!max shrek, batman returns .hell yeah.
it amazes me that they can mass produce a figure such as this at the price of $30.00 to $40.00 and with this kind of detail. the creature from the black lagoon is defenitely neca's best one so far. thanks so much for this review.
You're welcome! Beautiful work all around from the sculptures to the packing design! Victor and Emily are truly among the best "Corpse Bride" collectibles I've seen! Cheers!
Thanks for watching the video and noting the Amazon availability, Sarah! I reviewed these very early on when they were still only available via their US distributor and eBay sellers. Thanks!
I agree that The Wolfman is closest of the first three, but the Dracula and Phantom and Creature are all pretty similar to the Remco line. Plus, we have the Monsterizer coming up shortly, which I didn't get, so it is going to be really cool reviewing it. Thanks for watching the video!
Unfortunately, it will have to be a secondary market buy at an auction site or collectibles store. They were sold exclusively at New York Comic Con and for a short time at NECA's site. Thanks for watching the video!
That's fantastic! So glad you watched the video. Let's hope for more figures from ABYStyle from "Corpse Bride" and hopefully "Frankenweenie"! There's not nearly enough from those films out there and their "Corpse Bride" work is stellar! Please keep a look out for my upcoming review of ABYStyle's Victor! Thanks again!
Thanks for watching the video! In this case, I used a stylized black and white cloth mat in a light box. You should be able to get something similar at any fabric store.
