Yes totally agree I'm 99.99999% sure he saw a rider approaching from the right side and did what came naturally to him because when Jonathan approached on his left he began veering towards Johnny He got what he deserved Ride clean or be relegated
Sorry for the guy (talking about Uijtdebroeks)..he is very talented and looks a good person..this is a so unlucky event..but time is on his side..he will be back at the Giro to win it..
I agree. Anyone who can do something like that is a cold-hearted, callous person, usually a sociopath. I wouldn't trust a person like that as far as I could throw them. Pogi, on the other hand is a magnificent champion cyclist, a versatile rider who loves challenges. A real joy to watch, plus he loves cats!!
Mental tactics. Pogi is toying with minds so he doesn't have to work as much to hurt the legs of others so he can stay fresh for TDF. Tempting others to work harder, then he just counters instead of having to control daily with his team. He is nervous because controlling for 3 weeks takes a toll on his team and leaves him vulnerable.
I think Pog looks annoyed and the source of his annoyance is that riders in the peleton harangued him for not letting breakaways win as G confirmed in his podcast.
Seriously tho, seems to me Pog is a genuine sportsman and racer and all around good guy. He *loves* competition and isn't afraid to put it on the line. I don't think he was trying to call anyone out today so much as point out that - ostensibly - no-one is challenging him. Pog is at his best when he's against worthy rivals, and there are few
and Gregor, when you introduce yourself, say something like, "I'm Gregor, FloBikes, Worldwide Cycling Correspondent, International Man of Mystery." You're big time, you gotta play it up. 😀
Fun report, Gregor, artful, too. And all props to Tadej, he has earned this spotlight, I just hope he doesn't burn too many matches ahead of his next match. And Tadej reminds me of the graciousness shown by the top auto racers back in the day, drivers like Richard Petty who would sign autographs for fans for a mighty long time after races. And I got to see that first-hand as a kid because of my Dad's work as a top engine man. And fans don't forget that, they live it and even in my little thumbnail, I am wearing a pair of pants from the Richard Petty STP NASCAR team from '73. And these days on my bike, I enjoy being overtaken by a classic muscle car cruising on country roads. For a moment, that gorgeous Galaxie 500 is so close I could touch it. And I'm happy for its owner, who is perhaps imagining himself on the front straight of a superspeedway with the checkers in sight. 😀
Cycling fans can t help but loving him..he can win every different race he takes part in, he can really have a palmares like very few in Cycling history and sometimes we fans just can wait his attack and this is super exciting and make people love Cycling..so let s just enjoy what this super champion is doing
