Some further tricks: - Talking to firebead excactly 30 times gives 300gp both in candlekeep and bergeost. - Those winterwolfs you avoided, you can make bag to stow items in from their pelts, and the belt of antipode makes you immune to them. - I was watching in 2x speed, so dno if you did. But with enought charisma points you can convinse the woman in the candlekeep tavern to place all here jewels in here chest. Never done myself, but a tip. - using a familiar for pickpocet, aid etc is inzanly strong if mage. You can pickpocet that fat man in one of the bergeost taverns for cloak of algernon. Another type of familiar can transform to bear, strong together with sleep spell etc. and has high strengt to break open chests. - charming the basilisk on top of durlags tower and using it to turn the other one into stone, then cast stone to flesh over and over gives 7000xp each time. Im currently at 1,6mill xp with my sirine kit, and im far from done with bg1ee xD thats some min/max Prior to bg2ee :p
Rolling a Kensai in BG1 loosely following your videos. A lot of fun. Kept Imoan around as a pocket thief. I plan on having a thief around in BG2. They're just too handy. Gonna farm Ankhegs or something to hit cap before I import. Shouldn't take too long with only 2 party members. ALSO PSA: If you're starting this series thinking you'll follow it through BG2 then don't. He lost his computer in the DLC and never picked the series back up. I hope someday he rerolls a new berserker/mage in Bg2. Or start one on BG1 and console in the attribute books then import.

Looks fun! Are there other game modes? It would be a lot of fun if there were a version of Hutt ball from SWTOR Also you mike is a little low. It's hard to hear you when there's a lot going on in game. Great vid though
There are a lot of fun game modes! One is kinda like hutt ball but it hasn’t got the goals sadly, would love a hutt ball mode added in! Definitely fixing the mic for the next upload tomorrow, thank you for pointing it out!
@@JoshuaOttEleosI hope so! I mean trophee is already in the game so most of the work is already done! Maybe they will make Huttball specific maps for it?? 😮

Just blame it on hayfiver? My dishwasher isn't working, offcourse its hayfiver xD As I heard it I just laughed. Thanks to humor a lot in life is easier to bear.
@@RebelRadios easiest yes , but WMZ got all skils to enjoyable game , sneak , lockpick , some spels etc. This is why i say WMZ im my opinion is beat for cover all mecanic you need in the game
Around the 1 min mark you talk about squirrels and why not to mess with them. Then I see RU-vid shorts of BG3 of ppl kicking a squirrel into bloody bits
Absolutely loved watching this. I'm currently replaying BGEE on the xbox and I'm playing a Kensai/Mage so this was great to see! Loved that by the end, Sarevok was killed with a big stick! Can't wait to start watching SoD next
You should be able to use halberds as a berserker mage as I put points into katanas and was able to use them again once my mage level overtook my fighter level at 9 (so once my mage was level 10 he could equip katanas again). Did freak out when I first dual leveled and couldn't equip them anymore. Does mean you're defenceless until you level up though which quarterstaff doesn't have that drawback. Also you would have to be level 14 mage if you left it until 13 to dual class (haven't watched that far yet in your playthrough).
I’m not using any mods! It’s the BG:EE Siege of Dragonspear edition that I have :) only thing I have done is edit the ini file to set the game at 60fps to make it run faster and smoother (but it does bug out cutscenes)
really looking forward to the full game with mods and multiclassing. There are a number of interesting builds which you can not try in tabletop because they are so overpowered or at least not table friendly I am going tomake Gale a necromancer, and then play a oathbreaker (oathbreaker 11/ hexblade 3 ideally)
Cool. So many way and builds to play this game. My favorites of all time for me ; Thief (swashbuckler dual classed to mage) or Illusionnist/ Mage, Blade, or Swashbuckler. Monk is cool, though very hard at the beginning.
JUST started the game, skipped up to the point I'm at. Quickly realized that half of the game is just either knowing where everything is or else exploring every goddamn pixel on every goddamn map. Guess I'm just going to have to set aside 2-3 hours a day to just walk around and pray Imoen finds the goddamn traps before I step on them and plan to save and reload every 15 or so goddamn minutes. GODDAMN.
I’ve actually got an updated mod list now as I was planning on returning and doing a necromancer playthrough again! If I remember to I’ll drop my new mod list but essentials are Mysterious Bears Epic Necromancy, Supreme Magicka, and Better Cities with whatever awesome necromancer mods you can find like Mannimarco Revisited and Mannimarco Resurrection for quests
hey mate, just found your Berseker/mage videos on baldurs gate 1 and I was wondering, do you have an actual guide for the build? like when do you switch classes, where to pick up items and stuff without having to watch hours of videos lol
A bit late, but maybe s.o. else stumbles over this comment: Dual at level 9: max hp, 3 uses of berserker rage and you get the bonus half attack from level 7. Alignment: there's a great throwing axe only for good characters which helps with undead early on in bg2. Best familiars are evil though (lawful evil imp has polymorph self) and there's a longsword only for evil characters - but taking it, turns you evil anyway. Weapon choices: usually dual wielding is the most efficient. For mainhand there are 4 choices superior to all others and you want to put 5 points into them: Flails - Flail of the Ages +4 (dont upgrade to +5) is probably the best weapon (though there are few flails overall, so there's little variety). Axes: good accessibility throughout all stages of the game, best dps solution. Long Swords: most versatile, eventually you want to become evil sooner or later for the end game sword. Bastard Sword: VERY limited, but best sustain weapon early ToB till end. Off hand is scimitar or short sword (kundane or belm), 1 point is enough. 2handed options: 2h swords or halberds. You may want to use staves every now and then, but for these occasions 2 points are enough. Spells: boost your defenses and buff yourself at levels 2, 4 and 6 (blur, mirror image, improved invis, spirit armor, stone skin, prot from magical weapons / energy, improved haste), summons at level 5 (animate dead) and 7 (mordekainens) and deal damage with Skull Traps, abi-dalzims and sequencers. Use breach and remove magic for debuffs. This will bring you thru 98% of all content
Forgot Katanas: there's one(!) extremely overpowered katana, but it's only of +3 enchantment, so you might need an alternative weapon for certain fights
10:08 The Fisherman Quest theres two options you can either kill the Mage Girl which yeah you get 1000XP and a Flail... not sure if the Flail is that great. But I've just watched the two Achievements tied to this quest, killing the Girl is one of them ^^^ and the second one is getting the item she wants back that the Fisherman took which then you get 2500XP So my question is the Flail worth a good amount of gold or should I give the Girl what she wants?
Also again sorry to bother you, but what is better 86 skill points with 18/00 (which I believe that means 100 from what I've read) or 88 skill points with 18/92? I gave up trying to get 90- 92 skill points I kept accidentally skipping past it from boredom or pressing the button too quick. I believe both are good but I'm curious as to which is better.
Hey! I would say the 88 skill points only because if you are playing through the first game you get the strength tome to boost to 19, I would always say that as long as you have 18/51 or better then go more skill points. It’s just so you can break locks is why I do it 😁
Sorry to bother you on this but I was wondering with each Part what Chapter are you on? Cos I'm trying to get All Achievements, which I've heard you can do in one Run, with some before saves to redo side quests for like a good and bad version of the Achievement. Is the Chapter each time you see one of those Cutscenes with a Narrator talking? Edit: Also can you do Solo on Legacy of Bhaal mode or are you better off taking some Helpers with you?
The cutscenes indicate the new chapters of the game yes! 😁 also with playing on harder difficulties I prefer not to as it doesn’t add any fun to the game for me, it just means they have more hit points and hit harder instead of actually needing skilled play. Majority of the time I have to cheese it even with a party. Think I have only done LoB twice on bg1 and didn’t like it so stuck to core rules
Older games have more depth and interesting gameplay, when combined with replay ability, gives them lasting power. As for me, the SNES and PS2 had the best library of games that I enjoyed the most, though I've played games dating back to the Atari 2600 and Colecovision. As for your question regarding weapon proficiencies when dual classing, the game remembers what you placed in your 1st class. As you know, when you start the dual class, your level 1 2nd class has none of them. However, when you you eventually regain your 1st class' abilities, any previous weapon proficiencies are given back to you. However, if you placed proficiency points into the same weapon class while leveling your 2nd class, the points are NOT combined. Let's take your example of having 4 points in Quarterstaff, like you do in this video. When you're leveling as a mage, you put 1 point into Quarterstaff again, which also happens to be the max for mages. When you regain your berserker abilities back, you end up with 4 points, NOT 5. That said, you should plan your proficiency points in advance so you avoid overlap. For example, if I were planning for berserker/mage, I would use my fighter levels to get stuff like 2 weapon style for dual wielding flails and possibly scimitars in the future, with Flail Of The Ages, Defender of Easthaven and Belm (for the +1 attack per round) by the time you get to BG2. Though this next extreme example is outright min/maxing and not practical, you could remain as a level 1 mage in your 2nd class and have a party member literally carry you until you earn enough exp to regain your berserker abilities before leveling up. What this allows you to do is to allocate the proficiency points you would've earned during your mage levels to put into what you really want, so you don't have to waste them on stuff like quarterstaff, sling, daggers, and darts.
My approach to solo is always wizard ring for money > high hedge for petrification protection > basilisks map. I feel like this levels you up way faster though im not sure
Should do a video of that run! I would watch it and it may change my playstyle!! The other one I know is the Ankhegs but I can’t be asked reloading at level 2 every 3 seconds 😂
@@RebelRadios ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QSHxytRsk3o.html&ab_channel=CoredumpedGaming Watch this video. It goes over how to get to 32,000 EXP within 30 minutes of starting a new char. Personally, even on the insane difficulty, you can do the Basilisks trick without protection from petrification because mobs will focus Korax 99% of the time if you have him lead first to draw aggro. Though if you play with mods that change how AI targets enemies (Like SCS) you should always go get the protection
@@RebelRadios I'm just saying :D your BG1 and SoD runs were awesome but ended with a cliffhanger to me. I just want to see how cheeky can you get with dualing at 13, haha. Must be a pain in the ars. Nevertheless even if you'd dual at 9 I would be very happy to watch. Thumbs up for your videos again! Peace bro:)
@@wundermax1993 honestly dualling at 13 isn’t as hard as everyone thinks! You just need to complete a lot of quests but not turn them in so when you do hit 13 you can turn in all the finished quests and get loads of exp! Also I think there’s a fun bug which means you get the Arnise Stronghold AND the planar sphere if you do it right? Never done it myself though! 😅
@@RebelRadios I got back to BG just recently and I'm not familiar with the possibilities so I'm genuinely hooked about BG2 endgame which I never played till the end as a child. I'm sure you will find a way :) BTW there is one guy who is pure gold called Davaeorn, he plays insane difficulty with SCS + ascention + rouge rebalance for added difficulty and does it no reload hardcore. Man oh man, such a treasure chest of pure fun and historical gibs and rips :) you ought to check him out if you love BG, but due to his hardcore rules I don't think he ever did dualing at 13. So that's another reason for you to do it :D I'll be lurking around to see if you decide to do so. Cheers!
