Coffee Talk and Tech { John Ryan } is finally a product of wanting to have a RU-vid channel since 2008 and never following through because the tech was to much to learn! I finally in 2020 I did it and taught myself a lot. Along the way mistakes were made but in the end it really helps me help you guys with not making those same mistakes. Welcome to my Channel I love tech products like PC hardware camera equipment, tech reviews and tech fixes but I do enjoy just talking about a few other things that interest me. So that's why the Coffee talk part came from. I have a interest in Motorcycles and Jeeps and yes I do also love Coffee. Thanks for stopping in and please considering subscribing! Have a great day!
I still use the version 1 on my R7. I will say that the RF annihilates the EF versions, but it is still a very valuable option if you’re on a tight budget!
Good review here of the OBSBOT Tail-Air and it's newest SRT option. My use case would like a wireless SRT connection between the Tail-Air and video receiving device (laptop) in the same room, at least on the local subnet. Do you know if SRT protocol works over the Tail-Air WiFi radio and not just wired Ethernet ? My use-case: testing a hybrid in-person Zoom meeting that also includes remote Zoom participants over the internet. Very few in-person meeting hall venues provide wired ethernet, just WiFi. Ethernet at home is no problem, but WiFi has it's place at other venues. Thank-you, (subscribed)
So I'm really new at this but did try it wireless on my network and it worked really well. I do have high speed internet so that helps. Of course it's reliability will then depend on your wireless network. I really like wired POE just because then the camera is always charged. Thanks for watching.
What is the benefit of using SRT versus let's say NDI? Do they accomplish the same thing but just that one is open source? I am just trying to wrap my mind around it.
I'm new to it myself and where it comes in play for me is if I don't want to spend $100 on the ndi license I can still add my tail air to a poe switch run it 300 feet over cat5 or 6.
My understanding is, SRT has been designed specifically for video/audio streams to an even greater extent than NDI. SRT is a hybrid of UDP and TCP network layers to address out of order and missing data packets more efficiently than NDI and certainly RTSP.
if you set the obsbot as CALLER you need to configure the input in vmix aus LISTENER. and i have no clue why you are configuring things in vmix OUTPUT settings, this has zero todo with what are you trying to do (bring the obsbot via srt to vmix).
I've never done this before... did it exactly like I showed and the camera was available in the input. Like I said I've streamed for years and never used srt. All I know is it works perfect and that's what I did. Maybe since I did both in obsbot and then caller in input it just picked it up??
I started to build a rig around this and stopped after it kept overheating. Also would have love to seen your experience with using the cine lens in this short. Felt like it was caught a little short lol
If you are nominated for an audio interface in the economic category Do you recommend the Fifine SC1 Or do I go with interfaces like M-Audio M Track Solo or Behringer um2 Note that it will be using a Fifine AM8 Dynamic microphone
I know this is kind of old but I can not get my pitch presets to work. And when I turn on direct monitor it just echos real bad but it’s brand new so I’m not sure if it’s messed up or not
@@CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan sir but usb mics are recorded stereo sound quality momo sound with interface is as not good as stereo recording is there any interface which can record in stereo channel single mic for voice overs
Is it possible to use other ethernet adapter or does it need that one specific. Have tried with normal ethernet -> usb-c adapter and cant get i to connect to the wired connection.
Please help. I am not a camera expert. Looking to up my video quality versus an iphone. Flow state is so important to me. How do you feel the Insta360 x4 Link compares to the Obsbot Tail Air? Equal in image quality and flowstate? If so, I feel the Tail AIR forthe win. Appreciate your help greatly.
So these are 2 completely different cameras with more specific use cases. It would totally depend on how you would be using the camera. If it was skiing or mountain biking and where you want to record yourself in the action. It would be a no brainer the 360...for more studio and live recording with ptz functions and NDI integration. With hdmi out and uvc use...well the obsbot fits the bill. Hope this helps you.
@@CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan OHHH WOW!! I feel you just helped me immensely. Will the osbot tail air provide good flowstate? I am looking to make those professional slowmotion flow steady videos?
@@CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan I have asked so many people this question. No skiiing, no fast action. Just fast walkthrough of property tours. Will the Osbot Airtail provide that good/equal flow state and video quality? I am feeling the advantage of the webcam and tracking me as I walk across lots could be more beneficial. I just want to make sure I am not sacrificing excellent video quality/photo quality to showcase properties with an insta360. Try to get most bang for my buck :))) I wish I could afford both but I can not. Currently using my phone. Hoping that both choices will provide better video /flow state quality.
@@atdez ok I'm going to be honest with you. I would go with the Osmo Pocket 3 creator Kit from DJI... It can give you the high quality you want and kit you a picture with less distorted view of an action cam but give you the smooth flow of a gimbal. i own one and for what your liking for this may be the best best. You even get the tracking and you can use it as a webcam. With the creator kit you get the great DJI mic with 32 bit float.
@@al68nashville it sounds like your very new to all this. It takes time. What I'm saying is if your recording of yourself sounds good then it's a setting in tic tok your missing. If your hearing your self double in Audacity it's either window settings or your chosen input and output in Audacity
You need to install center or app on phone to make changes in your software to use it the way you want. Via ndi hdmi wireless ect. Then you can turn it on and use it the same till you don't. Plus that's how you would update your firmware. The fb tailair community is very useful too.
I'm already a streamer on Twitch for retro gaming, however I wanted to incorporate some IRL Bowling since I bowl a lot of tournaments and would like to stream on twitch for my audience there, as well as facebook for friends and family to watch. So I've been looking at Wireless streaming cameras, not a regular webcam. I've looked at the Emeet Streamcam One, really good for the budget, but I'm not sure if it looks that good for 30fps, but I like everything else about it. I've looked at more expensive options (Mevo, ObsBot Tail Air, and the Aicoco onAir) but they all have a smaller battery life, and are almost or over double the price of the Streamcam One. I don't want to use my phone because I would like to use it to read twitch chat or allow me to track my bowling scores into an app. Just want my phone to be available to use and not act as the camera itself. Do you happen to have any recommendations?
OK so first off I was sent 3 emeet stream cam cameras and did not have a great experience using more then one to stream and the image was not even close to as good as the tail air. The tail air has much more going on being ptz too. All I can tell you is the mevo or the tail air would be better if you need a wireless camera and you can add a usb power bank if you need to extend the time of the battery. If you don't care to much about image quality then go with emeet. Or try it and if it's no good sent it back.
Can't find anywhere: Is it possible to have audio with the wireless Virtual Camera feature? Apparently not, as I don't see a virtual audio device for the OBSBOT. It seems maybe either NDI or RTSP is required for wireless video + audio?
The voltage output of the dummy battery is 8.2volts while the stock battery is 7.2v to 7. 4v, do you think its safe to use dummy battery? I'm using SuniMix dummy battery anyway.
@CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan we need to press the direct monitor button. Just figured out after 3 weeks 😄 Anyway, I really appreciate your concern and replies. Subbed and thankful. need to press the direct monitor button. Just figured out after 3 weeks 😄 Anyway, I really appreciate your concern and replies. Subbed and thankful. God bless!!
@yasminaldunate8250 I returned them and would not recommend them at this point. It's hard for me to recommend anything when I have no idea what your use basis is.
I have the same combo. Have yet to play around with it. Upgraded from sony a5100 w/ same lens. Got lucky i picked up my zve10 body in white for only 500$. It was returned to best buy by someone who wanted the model with the fixed lens. Open box deals. So far from what i can tell is the low light performance is great and AF is super snappy
