I have had a similar undranded recovery box for many years now. It has worked perfectly over the years. I am not aware of why some reviewers claim that it does not work. Maybe, there is something wrong with their hard drives. Saved for future reference,
I have a square sun shield blanket I use to cover my head at the eyepiece for daytime observation. The keypad is usually in my hand right there under the cover also. A small blanket should work also. I like to avoid attaching too much stuff to my telescopes.
"Wow, I'm loving this channel! Thank you for putting in the hard work to edit and upload videos. It's not an easy task, but your efforts definitely show!"
My hubby and i just dropped spectrum basic internet we had been with them since 2018 started at 49.99, a year later 69.99 then around 2021 jumped to 79.99 as of last month jumped to over 100 dollars and 3 dollars more per month. We cant afford that i took me three hours of them trying to talk me into promotional deals all I was kept saying was please cancel my basic internet I'm not paying $100 for basic internet. I didn't yell I didn't raise my voice fervently and calmly maintain that I didn't want any promotions I want this canceled immediately eventually she gave up and canceled it one of the most annoying conversations I've ever had in my life. It's like she was trying to beat a dead horse I'm not going to change my mind this company treated us like trash. Also they forced us to have a landline for 6 months without our consent they added a landline to our subscription it took me that amount of time to get them to take it off. I called multiple and I mean multiple times don't ever go to their company they are horrible
I just received one that I ordered a few days ago. From an overall glance at it and messing with it a little bit, it seems built pretty solid, and I think I'm going to hold on to it. But the one problem I see right off the bat is that when I'm attaching my phone to it in a landscape orientation, I have to do it off center, which is going to make it a little bit weird for vlogging or doing selfie videos, because the clamps press down on the buttons that are in the middle of my phone so I have to move my phone to one side. I'm using a Google Pixel 7 Pro, but you would run into this problem with many other Pixel models.
I think its time for an upgraded AP keypad. A design that is more ergonomically friendly and doesn't have that red screen. Don't have that on my Celestron AVX keypad, just a red backlight that can be turned off or brightness adjusted.
chuck The AP keypad is a professional unit NOT like the "other" brands. I think you know what I mean. It needs no upgrade. The red filter is meant for night use, as it should be.
@@starastronomer Very unlikely that it is a professional anything as professional astronomers prefer mirror telescopes. However it very well may be an observatory grade telescope.
We have the Alpicool C40 and have fairly good luck with them. I say then bc we've had two stop working within 2 years of purchase, but both were replaced under warranty. Our third one is in the mail.
I have no problem seeing all the keypad functions on my Celestron CG4 mount with daytime use. If working in the daytime with my computer AVX mount I just make some shade for the keypad if necessary. I have a landline phone to make and receive phone calls. Don't think it can control my telescopes. But I wouldn't even consider that anyway. Personally I find it irritating that almost everything I buy now has some kind of app to run it on a phone that I am also not interested in having.
Thank you! I don't think AP has an app to run the mounts. It's either by the keypad or a computer. But I could be wrong. Also, I'm not big on apps although I may use one for strictly daytime use.
@@starastronomer I think you will really enjoy the convenience and simplicity of using a smartphone for mount operation (for visual purposes) for daytime and even night time! I myself mainly just use a dob, but I use SkySafari 7 Pro for star charts & star hopping. This app is incredible and allows you to control your mount if it has WiFi capability (which comes as standard on CP4 & CP5). Astrophysics recommends this app and even has a section on one of their manuals talking about this (I’ll post a link below if RU-vid allows me to do that). The app costs $35 but in my experience it has been worth every penny. There’s a cheaper version too! I think giving a call to AP might help. They’ll guide you through everything. But I’m sure you’ll be able to figure it out on your own in seconds as the app is very intuitive.
I must’ve been out in the sun too long changing my oil because to save my life I couldn’t figure out how to make the grip stay positioned. Thanks so much!
Bought one, getting ready to remove old slate and install 16 square of new slate....my Acro was ordered at Home Depot this early spring, imho the only thing they should change are the thumb screws, better to have a bolt or pin with a clip with drilled through tubes. Great post the main reason I chose the Acro Ladder Standoff is because of your videos. I had used standoffs by other manufacturers but hands down this is the best for me. Thank you for your effort
Are you going to use it for the roof? If you are I wouldn't use the Ladder Max or the QuickClick. The "footprint" that touches the roof is too small and could gouge the roof. JUST MY OPINION, and I am VERY picky. Another product for a standoff for roof use is this one I use and reviewed: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zfCuG7KMH5k.html It spreads the surface touching the roof much better. Here you will see my comparison of both ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9HZSAzPwrI4.html Hope this helps.
It will be on the roof. IT DOESN'T MATTER THAT YOU WON'T BE ON THE ROOF. That has NOTHING to do with it. It's the small area making contact on the roof that can damage the roof WHILE YOUR WEIGHT IS ON THE LADDER. Thought I made that very clear??? Did you see the video links I provided???
Please please respond, i recently bought a 24w Kobalt drill and i didnt think about asking for the charger and so now i just have the drill and the battery, it works very well but i would like to get a charger for it, it is a 24w brushless 2.0ah. Could you show me where i can get the charger for it?
15:24 Superb watching and sounds... love the Delos specs, price and its sound too. I own a very modest set of vintage TVs--my favorite is the discontinued, massive, dual-barrel 22 mm Panoptic--awesome :-) also fun is the discontinued 7 mm Nagler Original, the discontinued 15 mm TV Wide-Field (65 deg AFOV) and the still-selling 40 mm Plossl (even though it has an AFOV of 43 deg). Tele Vue has contributed so much to eyepiece design and support of amateur astronomy; I like being a part of that historically. I don't know why most of my eyepiece choices were eventually discontinued by TV--but am now looking to replace an old 10 mm Plossl with a 10 mm Delos or even the great-God Ethos.
thanks for that i have the lunt 50 pressure tuner and putting a dove tail on the cradle rings is not the easiest i wish they gave it with 2 rings and a bar or at least give it with a vixen car already made for the cradle
This telescope is superb optically and mechanically. However I ran the price per inch test, otherwise known as the money left in my wallet test on this telescope and it failed me miserably as after looking into purchasing one my financial advisor said I would need a second mortgage to fund it. Then again also you might need a gym membership and bench weights periodically to keep in shape to be able to lift it and use it as you get older. But you can still dream of having one someday and still enjoy videos such as this one.
