This has to be the worst company on the planet. Took 6 months to get my XDS slide. When I finally received the slide I had to take it to a local machine shop. The hole for the extractor pin was not drilled all the way through. Some metal needed to be removed under the extractor to get it to function. Reading the reviews seems to be a pattern and they obviously dont care. How is this company still in business? are people actually sending them money after reading the reviews. I will continue to be vocal about my experience on every XDS online group I find.
Stay far away from these guys!! Very poor quality product and even worse customer service. Before you buy from them , check out their bbb reviews and other gun forums. I wish I had before I wasted 12 months & $400 on a paper weight.
Yeah you know guys I love the slides but they price is insane... I think you'd sell many more if the price was just dropped down to maybe $200 starting and then go up with machining and paint.
You found the spindle orientation accurate to hold position? I’m debating this for a small feature in 6061. Would be nice to just toss in a tool holder and shape it. But I’m debating mounting it to the spindle head casting to avoid using the spindle. Feature would be a small dovetail Angle slotted 0.1” deep 0.6” long in 6061.
That X axis touch-off on the probing cycle made me pucker when I saw it hit the probe shaft instead of the ruby, but then I saw it touched properly when it came back in for the fine touch. Whew!
Ordered an XDS slide from their website on June 6th 2020, DV8 advertised their turn around was 7 to 8 weeks and with the pandemic they estimated an additional week be added to their production time due to social distancing regulations and other issues in shipping. So a total estimated turn around time of 8 to 10 weeks. 7 weeks pass with no update on the slide, 8 weeks no word, September rolls around and I start getting annoyed at this point due to the lack of communication and the already long over due turn around time. When I finally do get a response back I get a sob story from their account manager about how every firearms industry is experiencing a longer than expected turn around time. I found that funny because no such delays were communicated to me beyond the 10 week turn around time estimate. But regardless, I shut up and continued waiting. It is now Nov 10th 2020 and I finally got my refund confirmation. After reading the other reviews of customers experiencing similar issues, I'm really interested and testing the validity of their advertised turn around time. In my opinion DV8 is guilty of fraudulent advertising. I'll be reposting this review on ever social media site I can get my hands on. This companies poor customer service, lack of transparency and overall false advertisement in turn around time should be addressed.

Have been waiting almost 3 months for mine. I asked about it a couple time and Kamilla just gave me a generic answer. 5-6 weeks to machine and 2-3 weeks to cerakote. Why does it take so long? They can’t have that many orders that it takes over two months to push out a slide. And if it did you would think they would start stocking blanks and completed slides. From the look of Jamie’s comment I’ll probably end up calling and cancelling my order. Shame.
Welcome to the no response wait club. Mine took 1year 3 months had to send it back 3 times worst customer support with a domestic company iv every experienced.
DO NOT BUY! Terrible customer service, huge turn around delays (if you even get your order at all!) and when I got my slide the dimensioning for the extractor port was WAY off (causing failure to feed), now a paper-weight! Don't believe me, look them up on the BBB web site, all the same story as mine!

They won't refund or replace it with one that is correct? That sucks I was just about to order one as they are local where I am at but I'm hearing the same news about them. What a shame their slides look amazing :(
Simular situation but my slide took 1 year 3 months had to send it back 3 times for problems your could have caught with just a simple look over and functions dry fire test. They either need to get a new office manager that knows what they are doing or just stop doing direct business with customers as they dont have the support system and quality control nesscesery.

They look awesome but the only problem I have with it I could buy a new gun for the price and the cuts for the rmr aren’t very deep so it sits high on the slide I love the idea of just ordering a new slide and having it ship to me but it’s cheaper to have my slide sent off to be cut
