I don't recall ever needing to wear a wet suit when diving off Okinawa. Diving off Okinawa or in the Florida Keys . . . absolutely nothing else like it!
I went diving there in early 1980’s. We lined up two palm trees and snorkeled out about 300 Yards from shore then descended to the bottom. There was a Japanese Zero sitting in the bottom in 70 feet of water. Someone had placed a mannequin in the cockpit, so as one descended it looked like the pilot was still sitting in the seat. It was a joke played on all new divers to the area! I searched RU-vid for videos and do not see any of the plane. I guess it either was destroyed by a hurricane, or was swallowed up by coral growth. I think I have some 8 MM movies I took, or maybe some pictures on slides. I need to see if I can find them.
Hello, I hope you don't mind me reaching out to you? I am contacting you from a post-production company in London called Like A Shot. We are currently working on a really exciting new documentary series called 'Mysteries of the Abandoned S3' which is going to be following some really iconic abandoned and derelict structures and locations from around the world as we explore into their pasts using archive which will be matched visually with stunning modern drone shots of how the structure appears today. I saw some of your fantastic drone footage showing the beautiful setting at Chuuk Lagoon and I wanted to get in touch with you personally about your work and if you might be interested in allowing us to showcase some of your amazing drone shots into our project? The program is aimed to educate the viewers of the construction phases that the structures went through and looking into how they eventually became abandoned. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ynY0AopEIqI.html - The drone footage I am interested in We always like to offer a form of archive credit or contribution for any clips / media that we use in the final project, this credit will give you a personal attribution that will appear in the final End Credits of the program. Please contact me on my email with any questions or queries you have - charlie.likeashot@gmail.com I hope to hear back from you soon. All the Best Charlie Scott
Dove it in 1990 by lining up a large rock and the water tower. Snorkel on surface to 45' depth and there she lies. What Ive heard is a typhoon destroyed this wreck a few years go and dragged it to 200 ft. With no video anytime in recent years on it or anything that pops on Google. I'm thinking its gone. It was quite a site and a great dive.
Jeff Diffy Wow awesome to hear! I never did find it during my 3 years in Guam but I got my Zero fix when I went diving in Chuuk ha. Nobody really dives this part of Guam and Umatac wasn’t even a listed dive site on the registered map. It was a great dive and very different compared to other spots around.
@@TheGuamGuy In 1977 I was stationed on Guam, and the Umatic Bay Zero was quite famous as a dive site. In fact it was my open water certification dive! At that time the Zero was almost completely intact. You could still see the red "meatball" on the fuselage and wings. The guns and ammo belts were still in place, as well as the cockpit instrumentation. It was a fascinating dive. I am sorry to hear that it is no longer there.
Btw....do you have the better gps board that's out for the solo? I'm curious how much better they are and if I should get one. I've never really had that much trouble finding sats. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones but it never tks very long to find 10 or more. I do not have the newest board though.
Hahah I lived there for 3 years and saw 2 dead snakes. I've seen a lot more in FL during the same amount of time. I think the USDA has the infestation under control now
+Freediver HD I think the laws still fall under the FAA so just watch out for airports and what not. Are you making more free diving vids? Haven't seen any in a while
Whoa, you are right. It truly is beautiful there! Vids like this always do amazing on the all-drone site AirVuz as well. U should check them out and share your work there. I think you'd enjoy the community!
Thanks! Off topic; I'm a advanced open water diver, yet, I want to buy a new computer. Is this something you'd recommend even for a advanced - purely recreational - diver?
Patrick Teunissen I highly recommend checking out Suunto's lineup. I owned a D4i for roughly a year and I absolutely loved it. Lots of nice features, to include the option for air integration, on a sleek wrist watch that you can wear as an everyday timepiece. Suunto's PC software is awesome too!
WhodatTv SoSeriouzEnt No zoom. Do you have your gimbal set at 90 degrees when flying forward? I try to keep mine around 80-83 degrees so I get more land in the shot. I'm wondering if that prevents the legs being in the shot. Depending on wind sometimes the legs will show but I try to edit them out 👍🏻
how long you've been flying this 3dr solo drone?any issues with the screen while flying?lost connection.... i've seen some shops here that their selling it quite low price so im wondering why.just thinking maybe there's some issue with it.hope to hear some good stuff.cheers!!!thanks
I've had mine since last December and I have put some hours on it. You can check out my channel and see how it performed in a bunch of other videos not to include all the clips I haven't gotten around t editing that are saved on my hard drive lol. I was skeptical because of the price and some bad reviews I read but I can honestly say this is the best bang for the buck. It's outputting better quality stuff than what I've seen with some of the Phantom 3's IMO. I can pull the drone and everything out of the bag and have it flying in a minute or two.
That mirrors my experience with the Solo3dr. I have had no issues with the system. I'm flying with the 3 axis gimbal and a GoPro Hero 4 Silver camera, and have had a Great Deal of fun from day one...
The Solo is one of my top3 drones ever, still fly my solos almost daily. I have one gimble modified for Gopro 7 black, it is sick. Fly it over my DJI P4 advance any day.
TopSecretVid I set my GoPro to 4K 30FPS with Protune off. For post production I use Adobe Premiere Pro CC and I'll adjust the contrast/saturation until I get the picture I like. Hope this helps and what you were looking for
regarding not getting live feed on your tablet - i watched a video on here that suggest you turn on the drone with the controller and then the gopro. then sync it to wifi first before opening the app. then open the app and the video feed showed work. btw i'm still in awe of this video lol
