Without a doubt this is one of the quintets my most favorite. 👌🎼 And of course the quintet of Max Rauch and Clifford Brown is one of the best quintets of all time!!
The track that made me love Coltrane, back in 1967. So beautiful, and easier to dig than, for instance, the title track, though as I got into it more, I fell in love with that, too.

Always wondered what this groovy old tune was called. Such a 60’s sound with that organ.
2024 is closing in on fall, this song was part of a loop that played at the first ski area where i learned to teach skiing. I was 14, 1967 I will never forget this song, night skiing and helping people remember that skiing was fun, falling was safe if you didnt flail and skiing was life.
Great precision, detail, and overwhelmingly cool verve. I'm a classical musician myself, but I love greatness stuff like this, so much "Art" went into it. If more jazz was as great as this I'd spend almost as much time there as 'my' blessed Bach. Just sayin'
