Awesome track, very nice video quality, I was the guy parked next to you in the green tundra, it was nice talking with you in the AM. Hopefully see you at Barnes in October
Hey there Mack, It was very nice talking to you both. It was definitely a great course. And picture perfect weather for it. Absolutely see you at Barnes...
Super Senior is 50 years old or older, then Masters is 58 (with a possible rule change of 60) years or older and Golden Masters is 65 years or older (I believe)
Would you mind sharing what model GoPro you use and what setting? Do you film in 4K? How do you upload it in youtube to get such a great resolution? Do you do anything special? I have mine set at 1080, but it looks kind of blurry on youtube compared to your video. Thanks!
Yes... I have a Go-Pro 12 My settings are 16:9/4k/30fps/W . If you are watching on a computer or tv you can watch my videos in 4k... not sure the quality on a phone...
I came in 7th. We swapped spots at 24:00, 27.04, 34.10, 116.06 and then again off camera at some point. Between the lack of fitness and the GD roots that was a doozy. Nice work!
let me ask you something... at 116.06 how did you feel... I couldn't even hold on any more... but you went by me smooth and steady like you were gonna do another 2 laps...Im just curious if at that point in the race, if you were at all exhausted?
Give me an idea what you mean, I’m fairly new at this. Please explain why you think it should be different. And what exactly do I need to do? Thank you in advance.
Great Job man !! I finished 10th. I am the green Kawasaki in front of you for the first few minutes. You passed me at 25:54. I took a tumble in that section.... and a few more later on... but who didn't right? Sooo slick...
You are sooo right man, I was so slippery and the roots were all at an angle. Rock Sections were sharp. We stayed together for a bit of time for sure... falling takes a half tracks worth of energy from me... good job with 10th.. finishing is a victory in itself.. hey and great job at the start...
@@billg3903 I agree. Finishing is a victory. This is only my 2nd year doing Harescrambles. I love it. I think this was the toughest one after Indian Ridge (so hot). Hopefully I see you at Martin's Mayhem !
I could not seem to get a break, it was one punch after another the entire race. Either it was rocks or roots, slippin and sliding all over the place. Probably the toughest track this year "for Me" Not a smooth section in the entire race. Even the field area was weird. Im not sure about fast or flowy but so happy to have finished, and 6th isnt too shabby either... thank you for watching...
@@mackames1603 thank you for checking out the video. I checked the times to see where you were. I’m assuming you are DPS (initials) for privacy. Definitely a good track. I got my butt kicked on the hill climbs on the 3rd lap. Looking forward to the next race.
#197. Some of the hill climbs were tough with all the silt on the rocks. Definitely stoked about the next one and martins because last year it got shortened and it’s been postponed twice. Thanks for the videos keep up the good work!
Yes it was! As slow as I was, my goal was to just stay on the bike and chug along. Fell once but for the most part got through the course without too many hiccups.
Where is that lot located in the dam trails? I’m in Trumbull and I’ve never been on any trails. All we have are streets down here. Also how much is it to register a bike?
As soon as you cross the top of the thomaston dam off Hill Rd Go to the end and go through the gate. Registration is not expensive it’s the idea of paying the taxes if you bought it used. This year was a hard year to justify registration and taxes if you only use it for the thomaston dam dir to the number of times it has been closed to riders due to flooding. But on a normal year it’s a great legal place to ride. When it is open, there is usually someone from the army corps of engineers checking registration.
@@billg3903 Thanks super new to Forrest riding and trying to find good spots it’s been tough because I’m a solo rider and no one has interest around me.
Sucks to hear about your shoulder. Lets link at the next one and ill show you some workouts to help. My gopro broke this race i got all mixed up with the edit you were right my video was of rock crusher! Thanks Buddy
I waited by your bike at Mohawk at the starting line till the last second. I thought something happened to ya. I have a full tear and hoping that surgery will make me like new again. I raced super senior at Mohawk. Got 3rd. Out of 24. Lol. I’m 51 so I guess that’s where I belong but when I get my surgery I’m coming back to c-250. And you are going to be on my radar for sure.
Are there any gpx files for routes? I'm looking to get there for the first time & I'm a solo rider. So I want to have an idea of the trail before I get there.
I believe there is a map at the parking lot. I don’t know of any fils for the gps. But in this day and age I’m sure there is. I could try to make one actually. If you haven’t already, go on thomaston dam riders on Facebook. Lots of people In group and possibly someone that has the trails recorded.
I went from dead last because of a crash at the beginning and I was 14th at the end of my first lap..... then my chain bound up in the front sprocket on lap 2 ... I did not finish the race
