Apologies if this question is already in the comments Will I need to do any reprogramming once I remove the switch My understanding is you do when you replace it I’m hoping you don’t
I am having issues with my Mercedes going from drive to park from 0 to 3mph slow speed, and based on my research at the Mercedes forums the culprit is the EIS module. Are you aware of this symptoms as well? They are saying it can also be a defective Diode. Any ways I would like to hear from you before I remove mine. Thanks in advance
No, I'm not aware of that symptom, but then I was only working on mine for the intermittent/no start problem. If the problem you're having is caused by a diode on the EIS, it should be pretty easy to remove, test, and replace if needed.
It worked! Mine had been intermittently failing for a few months, but never actually left me stranded. Figured it was just a matter of time, and would be an expensive dealer item for the fix, so was getting ready to bite the bullet when I stumbled across your vid. Verified it with a couple of other vids, followed your instructions ... and peace of mind has returned. Many thanks for posting this!
i have a 2006 cl55 mercedes. it starter to take two cranks over a few weeks would take up to 5 cranks to start. now today i put key in and its as if no key is inside i can turn the key but get no response no accessory lights. but my battery is good electric seats lights all work. my shifter is in the way so i cant pull my radio out to get to ignition and from under the wheel its very tight cant get to it. any reccomendations?
My R350 push button start stopped working and the mechanic said a module needs to be replaced. Is this the module they’re likely talking about? Thanks for the video
@@MillionairesMoneyMotivationKO while it doesn't happen often, there are numerous possibile software/hardware/firmware issues that can happen with a key's programming.
I'm worn out with it all..Learning alot this evening .. ESL and DAS look like I need to pull out and get re programmed? Gonna try and hit the ESL unit with a hammer to see if it frees it up in the morning.. Great video by the way ..
Thanks for the video well done. Would this piece have anything to do with intermittent AC loss of cooling? Sometimes it blows cold sometimes its warm. Just curious. Thanks
I wouldn't think it would affect the AC. Perhaps a faulty clutch on the compressor, or low freon so the compressor kicks out on a low pressure condition.
@PrairieCordgrass thank you. I attempted to solder the pins today unfortunately I couldn't get it to work. I assume the solder must not touch the other pins on that board? After trying a few times I pretty much ruined the little pin plug in. 😕 rookie!
Didt u just saved me trip to dealer and possibly saved me thousands of dollars, my car been sitting like that for more than a year, till i ran in to your video, followed your video and fired up :)))) Thanks for your time and your video. Nice to have my car back after a year :)))
When i put my key it always turns but when i put it 2 position 1 sometimes its like the car is dead and the lights wont come on and when i try and start the engine nothing happens. Is this the same symptoms your car was having?
You can always count on Auburn fans to show just how red their necks are. Usually they tear down the goal post too. Should be happening about now. Roll Tide and yes I am a sore loser.
