Thanks for the video! 24 badlands and mine ended up being the smaller pins at the front lever. Wonder if someone will come out with a new style pin to screw in and prevent the popcorn noises?
I have the 2023 Wildtrak and really like the 2.7 and I installed J&L catch can and there is not a lot of oil in the reservoir at each oil change interval at 6400 km….but enough to feel good that it is working to protect the engine.
Great 3.2 ecoboost engine explained. Any advice on minimizing carbon build up. Just got a 2024 Ranger XLT FX4 4X4 with 3.2 ecoboost. Just love it. Soo many opinions on carbon build up etc... Great listening to someone who knows what he's talking about. JR
You said yes it's felt driven and know it "should" not matter. The belts break down by nature particulate goes through the engine in the oil Yes there's a filter you know it can't stop 100% of particulate. Again it seems like bean counters got a hold of the engine and did away with originally what should have been a gear drive system but was a gear and chain drive system in favor of a gear and belt drive system to save $1 dollar per engine build at the expense and misery of the poor customer.
@@DrivenWildOutdoors nothing widespread with the belch yet only one photo online of a belt around 90,000 mi and what it looked like. But a master Ford self-employed tech proves that the 2015 through 17 gear and chain setup can be retrofitted and it just put right on to a 2018 to 2025 2.7.
Will Ford's belt change interval is 90 to 150,000 mi pull the engine pull the front cover pull the oil pan and replace the drive belt for the oil pump.
@@n.elliott9122 I don’t know. Considering that pan is a 1 time use item if I have to replace my oil pump belt I will probably up for an aftermarket aluminum pan.
I know this video has been posted for a while but I have a 2023 Bronco with the 2.7 and I’m wondering if I need to let the motor run when I get done driving to cool the turbos ? I’ve read both yes and no so I thought I’d ask here. I appreciate any input as well !
@@Attak420 my experience has been if you’re running it hard like in the sand off Roading whipping it around then a few minutes of idling is always recommended, however, normal driving doesn’t typically require it. Of course that’s my personal opinion
@@frankalfonso7070 no, this particular engine is built in Lima. they had a supplier that manufactured the valves, apparently not to specifications and the metal to brittle
@@austintuestad1741 the only noise is when you close the swing gate you hear that I do not hear any driving down the road though. And yes, when I get the accessories for the bikes, I will do a video on that maybe even mount a GoPro on the back of the bronco and see if it picks up anything other than wind noise
