Most of the videos I have seen for adding a back up camera to this car required using FORscan to go in an change the computer setting to recognize the camera. Was this not the case for your installation?
@@BrianW-i4t yes I do not know of a method to do it without forscan and the factory head unit. I think I went over the settings in a different video. It’s been several years since I did this.
@@dannyli5946 the knob does not play too much into the notchy feel. You will want to shorten the throw and possibly add stiffer bushings for that. A weighted knob will help the shifts be more fluid or solid engagement by adding more inertia to the shift.
I'm late to the party but thanks for the vid! Was wondering what people did with the cabin side hose and didnt want to leave it in there. Picked up a 2019 ST a year ago with 17k miles and it's finally time to start putting fun parts on!
@@dlau3140 it was fun for sure but the cost to continue mod path did not make sense for me. STI transmission was really likely too to reliably daily the power level I wanted to be at.
Man, am I glad I found this video. I tried doing the bushing last night and could not get them in. Didn't even think that the bushings would have flashing in them. Time to give it another shot.
This sound drives me crazy. Why should a muscle car sound like a diesel school bus? Ford has not impressed me with their decision to ignore the issue. Something causes it so fix it Ford.
Gotta say this worked a treat. Was following several install videos and had almost given up as 1 forscan video said to go into a setting that mine showed as camera was activated. Then saw yours saying to go into the current setting changed the settings and bingo it activated the camera. Happy to let my kids drive the car I just bought them now.
Wouldn't you want to use the new bolts? bolts stretch when you tighten them. not that there's enough torque on these to reaaaally stretch them out, but still.... principle...
If I recall correctly (this was a few years back) the supplied hardware was the wrong thread size or too short. Unless it is a torque to yield or aggressive locking feature reused is fine. Also I have found that the provided hardware for a lot of aftermarket parts is lower grade than the original.
The 20mm looks really nice. I’d like to get some of these for mine. I was wondering if there’s anything other than Loctite that could be used since those threads are so shiny and new.
@@turnerdrywallrestoration8077 the Perrin instructions mentioned oil but you have to toque to a lower value. I am thinking I will use loctite 290 after another round of torque. 290 is designed to wick in on already installed hardware
I bought the same chair cylinder. I have a Teknion Contessa. After i installed the new oasis cylinder, it sinks right back down completely. Do I need to adjust the screw? There's no video of this particular chair on how to do that.
Wait what!!? $45 bucks for that!!! Ah thank god i looked for a video, I can just 3D print these. Here i thought it added actual buttons with wiring and circuit and what not. 😂
Does it matter which way the white lever is placed? I’m confused with the module, the part that spins has a gap”missing gear” is that suppose to line up with how you place the part that spins?
I didn’t have any heat issues especially with a class d amp. The speaker level triggers shutdown well. They have a delay from when the last signal was received and shutdown.
Hello the line converter that I used had a remote triggered by the input signal. There are some amps that do this as well on their speaker level inputs.
Bought a kit that came with this tool but it didn't work out for me. Had to use the pipe wrench method and wd 40 but DOWNWARDS smashing the pipe wrench with a mallet to have the most force. The aeron classic I have is probably nearly 2 decades old and the gas cylinder was probably why the previous owner got rid of it for cheap.
I have same issue on my brand new 2024 S650 GT... very disappointing to have a brand new car sound broken. Took it to Ford a couple times already and they say its the infamous typewriter tick issue which is normal for these cars.. what a bummer
