We purchased a Home in Italy in the Beautiful Region of Abruzzo for ONLY 19K in a Village that dates back to thousands of years. Ours is a Stone Home to be completely renovated. Our budget was low and we knew what we were getting into. To keep things to a budget we will have to do most of the work ourselves. We think that that is half the fun anyway, so we are up for the challenge...I mean, we think so LOL
Our purpose is to reveal the inner beauty and honest history of this home one step at the time, 'piano, piano' like they say here in ITALY, while trying to incorporate the comforts of modern life...Of course on a budget!
We are not builders, architects or designers, but what we lack in skill, we compensate for in passion and willingness to learn.
We look forward to sharing this journey with you and even encourage you to find your own piece of Italy, maybe for 19 thousand euros like we did!
My husband and I are following along and watching your progress!! It is amazing what y'all are doing. If only wexqere 15 years younger. We love remodeling and have painted , put in new baths and kitchen in the home we bought 4 years ago. The finished product may not be perfect to some but it is perfect for us. Your hard work is going to pay off for sure! We will continue to watch all of your episodes and we are still looking for our not so perfect small home in Italy.
I love the size of your rooms and all the windows and doors to let in so much light! And your views! Wow! It’s going to be just amazing!! Good luck and enjoy! Oh, to be young again!! ❤
I’m loving all of your renovation videos! But bare-handed crawling through the basement cobwebs and touching rat poison boxes is nasty-work!!! Gloves, gloves, gloves… be careful 😬
Wow love the big rooms. So exciting for you and to see how you renovate it. This is what I would like except not the reno part. Looking forward to watching your renovation adventure. Cheers
You guys are dog lovers, fantastic! I have 4 dogs, 2 chihuahuas, and two labrador retrievers. When I make my move to Italy, I plan on bringing 3 of them. The oldest Labrador is staying in the states. He’s really my dad’s dog but he’s 12 so I don’t know if he would survive the trip.
I trust you have power and running water in your €19,000 home that you are renovating? I think you were on the right track removing the old plaster from the walls. I would test the vaulted ceilings to expose the brick. If it looks good, I would hammer off the paint. It will be cheaper than paying someone to do the work.
Good for you that you bought a home and get to renovate it. I love the price you paid for it as well great deal. Looking forward to seeing how you renovate it.
So glad I found your other channel. Looking forward to seeing the finish product. This house confuses me. Will there be a connecting door inside so you don’t have to go outside to enter the rest of your house? Strange having an apartment in the middle. Have a great day.
I’m wondering what attracted you to the house since it needs total renovation comparing it to the videos of other houses you uploaded that are habitable and almost at the same price?
I bought the same type of letterbox on my last holiday in Italy and carried it around with me back to South Africa. It is now in the wall of my cottage in the middle of the Karoo.👍❤
The view of the mountains behind your house has a huge amount of forested area, normally you see much more open areas. Your views look like an old forest, it makes it more private as well.👍
Loved the toilet dance,😂. Your house without a garden has much more heavy duty gardening tools needed than the other garden. It's amazing how the ivy get in everything.👍
It might be easier for you to take the waterlines underneath the house in the wine cellar, then come back up through the floor instead of digging your floor up
You and Aden are so kind to bring us on this journey. We know we create e tra work for you each day. I like hearing the italian even if you don’t translate. ❤
