Pinstriping with passion is my motto, here on my channel I will have videos available of the work I do and also informative videos to pass along the knowledge of the art of pinstriping.
Pinstriping to your favourite music, good idea. I laid some basic lines on my stock Model A and have often considered getting into professional pinstriping. But as a singer/songwriter, graphic artist, collector, I have other interests as well. Jen could inspire me to get back into it, though. But I don't think you'll ever see me with purple hair and tattoos up the yahoo.
So, for your brushes, when storing them can I put Vaseline on them and then store them? You mentioned Vaseline but didn't really bring it up later. And also, when you have a new brush, do you have to wash it with mineral spirt? Also also, thank you for this video:) i have learned way more as a 13 yr old beginner then any other video I've seen!
Pretty much a lost art I do custom panel work on old school cars and I been watching a truck show on tv and they do a whole truck in a few hours I noticed he had like a rest stick to lean on while doing his strokes on the truck stick had a little rubber ball on the end
I came across you on RU-vid and I genuinely appreciate you sharing your experience and knowledge my question is could you give me reference as to where to get gold leaf tools and sizing? thank you
I thought I coveted that, did I mention mineral oil, you can use brush oil, mineral oil, motor oil, Vaseline, trans fluid, 3 and 1, etc etc etc I've known plenty of painters who just use whatever is around, I've used whatever even chapstick in a pinch.
Watching the section where you're showing examples of pressing the leaf in... Have you ever sized, and then immediately removed the tape? Can you turn the leaf with the tape removed?
Did you listen and see the part where I mentioned if you do that and use trizac for spinning to watch out for leaving swirls in the paint? You can get away with UT sometimes when working under a full clear coat but if not you need to protect the background from the sand paper
@@HotRodJenPinstriping Haha yeah I did. As I continued watching the video you totally answered my question lol. I really appreciate you replying. I'm learning so much from your videos
This reminds me of months and months practicing linework for tattooing. Now I've ordered pinstriping equipment to try this kind of art. Thanks for the video
Thank you. This is one of the best tutorials on RU-vid. Learned a lot. I enjoy watching such controlled elegance of motion coming from years of practice and dedication to your art.
