I used to work at the restaurant/arcade next to this. Can't tell you how many people would ask me every day how to get to the great bear, everyone loved it.
I was on it on sunday and i was not prepared for it to feel like i was legit flying it was so fun the people me and my friend were paired with were so funny i love this ride so much
I got my best friend on this ride yesterday and she was terrified but in the end she loved it so much we had to go on again this is the best ride for people that are scared of roller coasters and are trying to overcome their fears❤
Just went to the park yesterday. First ride since the revamp. I'm 66, and went on with my son & daughter both in their 30's. Sorry to say, it wasn't the cool experience we remembered. Is it wild? Yes over the top wild. Will we ride it again? A collective no! Not negative, just not for us. True wooden roller coasters are our passion. So we will stick with the Comet and Lightening Racers going forward. To those who enjoyed it, awesome, ride on... Peace.
Bro this ride is awesome and I love how bumpy it is. It’s just one of the OG coasters I hope they will never take down. This ride has all my family memories of roller coasters in this. Great ride! :)
I'm not normally a woody kinda girl. As they are usually to rough. Just road comet last week. It was glass smooth. It may not be as intense as the 200 foot monster beside it. But comet is right up there in just being a fun ride.
This ride was my first big roller coaster and will always have a special place in my heart. I’m glad Rmc did some magic though to make it one of the best rides in the world!
I LOVE Hershey Park. But never - i mean never - go on this ride ESPECIALLY if you are small. I’m going to write a whole essay on this ride to show you how bad it was. Me and my family walked up to the ride but it was closed. We walked away, then a worker told us they just reopened. Didnt think much of it. (and btw, this ride was closed probably about 80% of the time i was there) we got on, and it was moving and didnt stop so u had little time to get situated. we sat down, and we were arranged so my dad and little sister were in the front, and my mom and me were in the back. both of my parents were on the same side so our weight was weirdly distributed. anyways, we sat down and the lap bar doesnt go all the way down to your legs. so i had a ton of room above my legs because im smaller (im in middle school but pretty skinny) and the workers didnt even check to make sure the lap bar was secure we go up, and the ride is PRETTY high up… there are about 6 VERY VERY VERY VERYYYYYYYY sharp turns at the top. it would whip us around the corner, making it so I would almost fall out because of the amount of room between me and the lap bar. i was genuinely scared for my life. after we got through that, there were these very small drops, more like bumps, but i would fly up every time because, again, the lap bar was very high. me and my dad dont like roller coasters, but thought this was fine because its supposed to be a “family friendly” ride my sister and mom LOVE roller coasters but my sister came off sobbing (which she has never cried on a roller coaster no matter how scary) and my mom was freaking out the whole time on it even if it might not look scary, trust me, dont go on it. 1 star review. terrible ride. soon enough a little kid that goes on it will end up getting hurt. i strongly dont recommend
