Every time I listen to goodbye it chokes me up so hard because it takes me back to the stunned feeling I felt after finishing ep 3. Like I just sat there for a good few minutes while the credits were rolling in shock and I very rarely get that feeling while watching a show
The song Goodbye holds a special place in my heart. I remember watching Arcane Act I and hearing that song, and I fell in love immediately. I remember when I tweeted about it, and Mako liked my tweet. After Act III of Arcane, my mom passed away. A week before she died, she joined me in watching Arcane Act II. I remember she asked me some questions regarding the show. The day she passed away, I was so heartbroken and kept listening to Goodbye on repeat to cope. Every time I listen to that song, it reminds me of my mom.
In the ending of ep 3, you guys definitelyused the Evey Reborn · Dario Marianelli from v for vendetta as a temp song for that last scene, the song is very similar in tone and feel, and when I heard it in the ep for the first time I thought it was that song
both these songs were amazing and perfect for the scenes they were in. Guns for Hire was a masterpiece and although i loved all the music in the series, it was the only one that earned a spot in my favorites playlist, which for me is saying alot as that list is still very small to this day after over a decade on youtube. I am also very happy and feeling validated I always felt this song was direct AT silco, no necessarily that is was "from his perspective" but moreso directed toward him from the "narrator". Also Temple is an actual genius. Your music was already so good but his ideas of layering the songs in prior to the kick in for the songs was genius level.
I often skip credits, but the work you did on this show made me listen through each time. Fantastic work, and that's not just because it's a Riot IP. You all deserve to work on things half as good as this in the future. It's in the pantheon of greats.

Dawg, I can't believe the journey from early Mako to now. I was a huge fan and saw you perform at a club back in the day in LA. I loved Goodbye the first time I heard it and waited til the end of the credits just so I could see who produced it and to my surprise, it was Mako! Was so happy to see you still working behind the scenes and making incredible, emotional music. That soft saw arp in the beginning is just so completely captivating. "Hypnotic" was the right word for it!
