It's about 25 km from Castelo Branco. Might make a video of the aera and the villages around Cheers John
@@shanebrownrigg8632 The good thing is the price of property is low here, our house ,the white house in the video. Cost us about 68K euros. Now has three bedrooms, garden with orange trees. Grape vines. Lemon tree. pommegrante tree.We are growing cucumbers , sweet potatoes. Pumpkins and more.

Hi many thanks for your kind comments. Yes, I am moving to Central Portugal later this month. Moving from Pensilva ,just up the road from you. We hope to live here for good. I want make videos on what old vehicle's I find on going around Central Portugal. Hopefully this might be of interest. My first video will be moving and driving from Santerdar to Central Portugal and the first few days in a new country. Again, thanks for your interest in my channel, regards John
This brought back some memories. Dad took us to Poland in 1966 in one of these DLR430. He was born there so we went to meet the family. Very comfortable from what I remember and it gave dad just one problem. The sump bolt came out on the way there but luckily it rested on the chassis rail! He refitted it added oil and away we went. I remember that sound. I've thought about buying one but I don't have your skills to keep it going. All the best
11/10 22 My parents had one new circa 1962/3 - 4 speed Super model. Had a wire gauze air filter that could be cleaned with parrafin & a canister engine oil filter with ' How to ' maintainence instructions in the Owner's Handbook. Engine was almost silent on tickover at traffic lights. Noticed sidelights were carried over from previous generation's saloon range. VX 4/90 was top of the range derived from export models. Bedford Dormobile cousins were popular during same era of Full Employment.
Great scenery there (I'm from Australia - have never seen just what it look likes motoring along a random UK road - but I like it). Oh, and BTW I learnt to drive in a Vauxhall Victor. Fuel price has gone silly here too - about $100 to fill tank.
not sure yet, if I am going, having problems getting the gearbox back in, might have to take engine out to get all to line up.. Think it will be less trouble. . Bolt it on the engine ,then back in together. cheers john
Instead of buying a clutch from e Bay made from 'chinesium metal" you could use that excellent re line service locally at Tinhay near Launceston(or convert him to Vince the voltage vehicle) no dodgy old clutch then, p.s. I love Greta Thumberg.
John, I've sent you a message on Facebook. I am a previous owner of the car and thought you might be interested in a little of the history I ha e for the car. Martin
You maybe just have to think .. it's got to entertain and not just inform.... Quality of sound and video also.... makes an easy watch carmera positions what the viewers and actually seeing ... Also the cars shows get done to death by the bigger channels... so you have to come at it from a different angle just to entertain ...and most people are subscribed to all the main car channels so to watch its got to be different or your just watching the same cars over and over again which i do turn off if ive seen before to be honest.. Maybe something to think about John ..you may of thought about all this anyway I appreciate it must be very difficult
It can be hit and miss with shows for me. The subscribers will come, mine took ages to be honest. I am booked for Powderham Castle near Exeter and possibly Gaydon but I will be going to Mount Edgecumbe and the show in Looe later this year.

@@johncottonclassics Got a stabiliser in the camera mate? As a young lad in Oz I had the pleasure of caring for my parents new 1963 Victor. Four on the floor, bad synchro on 2nd gear, but a lovely car. Blue with white roof. Because my task was to clean and polish it every weekend I got to know every square inch of that car. Loved it. Nice series of vlogs John 👍
@@jaisabai4155 Thank for your kind comments on the viogs. I look at getting a stablliser for it. Never done a lot with camera before doing You Tube, Cheers John
