I'd find a new coach 😅 Sounds like kid is signed up for fun, not to win in the big leagues. Coach is competitive, not "we're here to have fun". Bad fit
he has no point at all it's an 8 year old who went to school and then got sick while he was at school (or he didn't realize he was sick until later in the day) and so now he's staying home missing one practice to take care of himself
