Great job! Do you have any tips for sight-transposing parts written for other instruments (such as heads on lead sheets/in fake books) while playing the Alto flute/G flute? If there were Real Books/other fake books on the market for instruments in F, then it would be pretty easy (since you would have to just play that book's written note a whole step lower than it's written, if you're playing it on the alto flute); but the more common lead sheets for Bb & Eb instruments would require some trickier intervalic sight transposition. I have an easier time with tone production on alto flute than I do on the standard concert flute, and have been considering getting one to occasionally use on my Jazz combo gigs.
