Marcey is brilliant. Of the MANY lessons I’ve learned from her is to live notification free. I turn them on only when needed, and only for close family, and friends. Other than that, my norm is that I manage being notified, not the other way around.
It's also a real timesaver! I had four requests for virtual coffees to find out how I prepared. Now I can send the podcast. Part two with the Speaker Coach launches tomorrow!
Also a lot of reviewers saying ‘I don’t care if it’s just the placebo effect’ Placebo affect works when you think something going to work and saying placebo effect doesn’t make me think it’s going to work
Thank you for asking. No, I was not paid. I did get the device sent to me in exchange for an honest review. I do not get any financial compensation, nor do I have an affiliate link.
I’ve checked out playbook. Congratulations! It sounds like a good system. I like the idea of being able to move things around and being able to move journaling pages to other areas. I can see that being very useful since sometimes it does take some journaling to get your planning ideas going. I do have a system that works for me at the moment but I will keep playbook in mind just in case things change. I would like to add too (shyly) that your arms are so impressive and have inspired me to continue lifting weights. I’ve made good progress Building muscle over a couple of years now. But had fallen out of it just recently. Going to get back into it 😊
Ha! Well, I'm glad that my arms inspired you in my Playbook video! It's never too late - I'm 48 years old. I'm also very glad that you have a system that works well for you!
@@MarceyRader What an inspiration ☺️ (I’m 32) wish you the best on playbook! It really is one of the better systems I’ve heard than your typical planner. I’ll continue to follow along and learn more about it! So I can recommend to others that I think can benefit from this system.
I test selfhelp technology professionally from 1998 I've tested the Apollo Neuro for 3 FULL MONTHS it doesn't work (except for the PLACEBO EFFECT) I have also measured my parameters as usual with Oura Ring gen.3 Sorry but t's a cheap object with a buggy app Sold for 500 USD with one of the worst customer services ever These are the results of my tests plese feel free to have your opinions I hope mine will stay on this channel because it's real
Thanks for your comment! I appreciate your feedback. Personally, I find value from it, even it if was from a placebo effect. I'm actually on my second. My battery died after three years and I went a week without it and opted to pay the $300 to replace it. I also have had excellent customer service. Any time I have had issues with the app or device, they get back to me within 24 hours. I'm sorry you have had a different experience.
@@MarceyRader good to know. Thank you for your feedback. I was hoping for at least a placebo effect. Nothing really significant measurable with the Oura. And unfortunately my experience with the customer service has been different. I don’t want to sell it for ethical reason. I will gift it to a friend to do some further testing. Considering the hardware and how is made the price is IMHO too high. The same service could be done with an app on a smartwatch
Thank you for your review. I think I’d also feel restricted by this Panda system. But I do love Rocketbook. It’s taken me some time to adjust but it’s working for me at the moment. I have the Fusion, my children use the Core for homeschooling which has no templates just dot/grid and lined. I’m hoping for the Everday Planner. I’d suggest for anyone considering buying any of the Rocketbook planners or notebooks to look them up on their website on a laptop or Pc to have a big view on the templates and see if they would work for you.
Thank you for your comment. I agree a big view on the templates is a must to see what the prompts are. I actually just launched my own playbook - Powered Path™ Playbook - www.helloraderco.com/playbook because I couldn't find exactly what I needed with prompts, writing space, etc. It's not erasable paper (not affordable for a small business), but we are having loads of fun and results with it!
@@MarceyRader that’s cool, what is a playbook? I’ve never heard of it. I’ll check it out thanks! I know people that use something called terra slate paper and print templates that work for them with the Rocketbook system. Glad that you found something that is working out.
I'm sorry you have had that experience. I've had great customer service with them and when I needed to replace mine, they even gave me a code for $100 off.
I agree with your review. I returned my Rocketbook Panda planner for the Rocketbook Everyday Planner. The minimalist planning setup adapted to my style of daily planning more of efficiently. I recommend checking the Rocketbook Everyday planner out.
I hadn't tried that one! I ended up creating my own system, the Powered Path™ Playbook. It doesn't use erasable paper, but it is in binder format, so you can add and remove the pages throughout the year. I'm super excited about the launch on 11/21. Thank you for your comment and for providing another alternative for people!
I just bought one. Waiting for it to arrive. I have chronic anxiety, Asperger’s and Autonomic Dysfunction. I really hope I didn’t blow $350 for nothing 😬 But I really need relief so I was desperate.
Hi Caseypromise, I hope it works for you too. You can set it up so that it automatically goes to different settings throughout the day and then you don't have to think about it.
You are all the best- We love working with @virtuallatinos so it's easy to recommend your services to others who could benefit so much from using your services! <3
Yes, Marilyn. It's very safe. According to the FAQ page - Yes. Apollo Neuro programs deliver gentle vibration. Studies of numerous forms of vibration demonstrate no significant negative reactions from routine use. Vibration at Apollo Neuro's decibel levels have not been found to pose risk of harm.
Yes, some nights I wake up 3-5 times, so I'm not sure if that counts as several, but it does to me! Unfortunately, I have a health issue that causes me to wake up and also a snoring husband. I can't always stay asleep, but at least I can go back to sleep faster.
Hi Justin, Unfortunately, that is one thing I didn't order. The person who set up my office ordered it and charged me. I'm sorry I can't be helpful on this one!
Hi Marcey! Thanks for mentioning us! We're thrilled to have a great client like you working with us and our virtual professionals! Happy to share this! :-)
This nugget popped up just as I was thinking, "I'd sure like to listen to something over breakfast!" Time to dust off ye olde travel and expense policy for sure.
Yes! When I offered the idea of an app to a group of travel managers last month, it was something they hadn't considered, but oh so inexpensive and also works great as an alternative to the gym membership that everyone was getting that are now remote.
I'm sorry you feel that way. People do reviews differently. This is how I like to do mine, by sharing personal experiences. I'm sure there is another channel that reviews in the way you prefer them done.
I’m getting the wireless version but I have to wait till my birthday in August to have them and I was thinking about getting just one of the fleece headbands since the one I am getting is the breeze fabric so that way in the winter time I can switch the speakers over to the fleece and in Summer I can switch over to the breeze fabric
@@MarceyRader yeah that’s probably what I will do after seeing if I like the breeze fabric because I imagine in the winter time when you wear the breeze fabric you will be pretty cold
It's very easy to put on. It's just a velcro strap that you can wrap around your wrist or ankle. Most of the time, I use the app to start the device so I can choose from the different settings. I use the green buttons at night if I wake up in the middle of the night and want to restart it. I hold them both down at the same time for about 5-6 seconds and it starts up at the last setting that I used. This way I don't have to turn on my phone.
I consider the Bullet Journal more productivity focused. The 5-min journal isn't about what you are going to get done or what you have done in a day, it's focused on gratitude, wins, and cool things that happened that day.
I’m very concerned that you did not acknowledge all the app reviews both on Apple and google for major problems with connectivity and firmware updates. If the app doesn’t work well, the device is almost worthless. You also didn’t quite the price which should always be part of a good-quality, objective review.
I'm sorry you were disappointed in the review. My purpose was to share my experience and my experience has been very positive. I haven't had any issues with connectivity and firmware. I'm sorry other people have. So for me, it has been great and is not worthless at all since I have had no problems. As for the price, you are right, I did miss stating that on the review. Thank you for the reminder for next time.
What bothers me is they cite clinical research on their website but the study has not been published in a peer reviewed journal. I'm debating between Doppel and Apollo Neuro. Doppel published their trial results in Nature; they have a lower price point and you can use the device without being connected to your phone - so you can avoid unnecessary EMF, if that is a concern. You can also adjust the vibration frequencies, which may or may not be useful; I don't know if non-responders will be helped by tweaking the frequencies or not - though it seems people who are outliers wrt to height might be affected (resting heart rate is inversely correlated with height). People report problems with the Doppel's strap and battery life. The Apollo Neuro looks a lot sturdier. It would be nice to have studies showing whether there are any improvements in HRV over several weeks use for either device. Have you measured your HRV during or after use or have you noticed any trends over time?
Hi! Great questions! trial results - can't speak to that. I would contact them directly. EMF - what I like about it is that once you turn it on, you can turn your Bluetooth off. The sleep mode goes for two hours. I start it up and then shut my phone completely down. Sturdiness - I don't feel like it is flimsy or not made well. Both my husband and I have had no problems. I track my HRV daily and I use the Apollo daily. It's hard to say if using it improves it when I start to get lower since I can't be my own control. I mainly use it at night, after working out, and about an hour before bed.
Hi Marcey! I'm sorry this is a little belated and I hope you wouldn't mind it terribly -- I have really sensitive skin but live in a warm climate, and I'm nervous if the net-like texture of the Breeze fabric may feel just a bit rough and chafing. If it isn't too much trouble, I'm wondering if it's at all smooth to the touch, and if you would say that Fleece is considerably heavier than Breeze? Thank you so much!
Fleece is heavier than the Breeze, but I wore it in the summer for about three years before buying the Breeze. I wouldn't consider it hot to wear. The Breeze isn't rough at all. I think you would be fine. I consider myself having sensitive skin as well.
That's not a weird question at all since it's Bluetooth. I actually don't know the answer and have never tried it. The speaker would work but there isn't a microphone so that would be the issue.
Thanks for sharing! Stay positive and be cautious. I live in Texas and we are currently under a stay-at-home order. Only “essential” businesses are allowed to stay open. Most people are staying in their houses, except for grocery runs, exercising outside and minor errands. Many of my neighbors sit out in their yards grilling and drinking daily. I currently have a daily regimen of two workouts. I go for a bike ride early in the morning and I do a crossfit bodyweight routine in the evening indoors. I watch at least two movies daily and I find two topics daily I research online which uses quite a few hours. I have no problems using up time without boredom. I have a rolling list of household chores/projects as a filler. I also manage to get in 10,000 steps daily with no problem. My eating schedule is the same as usual. I do 18:6 intermittent fasting daily with keto. I have two well balanced meals daily over six hours. I avoid fruit (except berries), starches, grains, sugar, soy, refined carbs and processed foods. I get my groceries delivered. I keep it simple so I do not have to over think it. Keep sharing and talking. Cheers!
I get that. I kind of do too because of the way I am shaped and I am a slip person. These are very flattering though and my husband loves his. He's lost 23 pounds recently and they are great for that because they are stretchy, which is also good if you are working on it!
