Lineman plyers work better those are the rectangular shaped pliers give you a better grip no need to take off the rail to do this

Just like a booger that brings out some nose hair with it -- you need to give it some leverage and then make that noise while your wife is watching you and cheering on - PULL THAT Booger !!

First off, your rail and your stems look like Three Day Blinds (an assumption I have made). But you never said that in your video. Are they Three Day Blinds? As promised, I’m getting back to you to tell you I tried it again as described in my last comment, but I still cannot get it out. But I did notice that by pushing up on it first I managed to twist it. (see my last comment for details) But I still was not able to pull it out. Therefore, either I’m going to have to hire the Terminator to pull it out, or remove all the slats and the rail off it’s mounting (like you did), before attempting it again, or call in a 3 Day Blinds installer to fix or replace my blinds. This is ridiculous! Those stems should stay in there, so that they don’t accidentally fall out, yet they should be easy enough to pull out on purpose.

Great demo! Though I notice that 1… You had to remove all of the slats, take the rail down, and set it upside down on the table or floor 2… You had to use the rubber hammer as a fulcrum 3… You needed four hands, two to hold the hammer, and the other two to pull out the clip (stem) I have owned a set of 3 Day Blinds vertical blinds since 2001. Now, one of my clips is busted. If you look at the new stem, notice, there is a little protruding nub below the top “rifled“ screw-in portion of the stem. Perhaps that’s what keeps it locked in. That, and the fact that the rifled grooves are not straight up and down, but instead, as it were, “twist.” So perhaps you have to not only pull down on it (with the rail still mounted on the window), but also twist slightly, in one direction or the other. The thing is, I don’t know which direction to “slightly twist.” My point really is that there ought to be a way to remove those stems without having to remove all of the slats, and remove the rail from the window. I can just about guarantee you a professional three day blinds installer would not have to remove the slats and the rail first. Nevertheless, I commend you two, for being the only ones to show a RU-vid video that actually successfully shows removal of one of those stems without breaking it, and without having to do a “John Belushi“/“Bubba“/“Russian Jerry rig“ bypass job of using the same busted clip, that other videos show. Perhaps that “nub” requires pushing up on it (again with the rail, still mounted on the window), and then twisting it a little, before then pulling it out. Let me know if this works. I’m going to try it right after this post and I’ll let you know if it worked for me Again, kudos to you two for having successfully removed the stem the way you did it.

Hire the Terminator to pull it out. It will require a LOT of force, yet not so much that you break what’s left of the clip. Otherwise, you will have to drill it out. A final note, if you do break the clip, and you have to drill it out, be SUPER careful! If you damage the stem holder, then you will not only have to remove all the slats, then remove the rail from it’s mounting, but then you will have to take the rail all apart to replace the broken stem holder.

How to distinguish dorsal scapular with long thoracic? Which one is which?
@timjen764

Amazing that someone watches my video and leaves a comment! Short story is I cannot do so by ultrasound alone and would need to stimulate each to distinguish. That being said, aside from academic interest I do not find an indication to distinguish them on a day to day basis when doing blocks. Thanks!
