My name is Madison. I live and work in California where I am a professional ballet dancer (soloist) with San Francisco Ballet.
I'm so excited to be jumping back into RU-vid! I first started this channel as "Mads' Pointe" about 3 years ago when I was living and working in London with English National Ballet. Life got crazy and I didn't have enough time to dedicate to creating enough content. I'm excited to be in a place in my life where it is possible now!
I have no idea where this RU-vid channel will go, what my posting schedule will be yet, or what the exact content is going to include. I'm working on following less "rules" in life, so I'm excited to apply that philosophy to this channel as well.
The one thing I do know: you don't want to miss out... so please don't forget to subscribe! 😁
this is a very clean and charming performance with great artistry! the attitude turns at 1:20 were lovely to watch, and the leap at the beginning was just gorgeous. renverse is my favorite step to watch, and you do it beautifully! well done!
This video is really special. I have been a full season subscriber to the San Francisco Ballet since the early 1980s, and have seen the careers of many dancers progress from beginning through retirement. You have always been a joy to watch. Best wishes on your new adventures.
Thanks, I needed this to do my wife’s hair before a flamenco performance, I never new how much two hands are needed to do hair. All was going great till I had to put a pin with my left hand whilst holding ends of hair in a swirl 😂
Thanks for the video. Had to put stage makeup on my daughters for the first time yesterday. Following your video and some others made it really straightforward.
This has been a great series of interviews. Thank you for going to the trouble, Madison, Ben (and Misa!). Really informative and inspiring conversation.
You said "gluts & psoas" muscles. I believe you meant gluts & piriformis, per your demo. It would be very difficult to massage the psoas with any of these tools.
I'm really amazed by your journey, and i'm glad to see u talk about it so beautifully . i'm 25 years old and i started to ballet for about 6 months now, i hopw i could progress and be able to dance so beautifully like quarter as u do xD can you give me any tips, workouts, eating regimen ?? ahh i wish u all the best :) <3
Thank you! I'm working on exporting and uploading some of the previous episodes as well. Just having a difficult time because my computer is from 2013, so it struggles with these long format videos. More will come soon though!!! ❤️
@@MadisonKeesler I hope you're able to get some help from the SFB web/tech team. I hope you are able to upload the Nikisha Fogo and Chris Wheeldon interviews. These interviews are really worthwhile as they are a record of SFB history and lore. I enjoyed hearing about interactions with Tomasson ("No!"). Thanks again to you both.
Great video. Art def makes life worth living. I’ve been inspired by you for so long! Hope you’re doing good. Love to see what creative projects you come up with in this time. Stay safe and say hi to Ben from me!
Time in ENB - what made you decide to leave? Was it odd to have an AD still casting herself in principal roles? Don’t lose dancers get promoted ar ENB after emerging artist? I was shocked when you weren’t after two years in it. Were you discouraged spending the amount time you did in the corps? Your summer intensive experiences abs dance training in general
I would love to hear stories about your professional life (similar to Kathryn Morgan's story times) and also advise and quick tips for aspiring pro ballerina's i.e. auditions advise and truthful struggles within professional companies. Thanks!
Lovely to see you back on You Tube. We were so fortunate to have you dancing in the UK with ENB. More about you getting into the corps at SFB would be a treat.
Would like to hear about the Corp and would also like an understanding of what it’s like to live life as a dancer. Not so much the artist side but when it meets reality such as rent and food and struggles. You don’t hear much about it, just the artistry presented and usually views of the principals, which tends to be very pro company and high life and all that. But, I’m sure that’s just a small % of reality.
AsiaBallerina Thank you! I've used different things over the years. I love Deva Curl shampoo and conditioners, but for the past year or so I've actually just been using head and shoulders shampoo with conditioner from the brand Public Goods.
dear Madison, I know the video is old now, but ever since I first saw it two years ago, I have been dying to know what lipstick and nail polish you are wearing in your low bun video! You look absolutely stunning
I wish I could remember for you! I am not sure though. Lately I have been loving the Nars Lipstick Rouge a levres in the shade Tolede satin, which looks quite similar to this lip color.
