NTM Info & Research (NTMir) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed on behalf of patients with pulmonary nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) disease for the purpose of patient support, medical education and research.
NTMir serves patients and physicians concerned with NTM. As a national organization, we can advance a broad agenda more successfully than individual institutions. However, our voice is that of the patients and physicians who comprise our collective constituency.
My mom( F, 52 , 45kg, 147cm, korean) suffers from NTM. In Korea There is no organization like NTMir. We have no community to share information and get a help. I envy you guys that you have a nice community
Even though I am a little late getting to this video of your valuable symposium, I saw the referernce to NTM ir in the issue of COPD my wife and I just received. My wife has just come out of the hospital with some major SOB and lung conditions which were pretty bad until a pulmonologist came in to consult. I also have COPD as she , and we just found a good comprehensive physician specialist with Dr. Daniels with a fine group here in Jacksonville. I have been also diagnosed with bronchiectasis for several years found in an ER visit. I have been a big admirer and user of NJHC in Denver by using their fine communications and the nurse line also for several years for our children and for my needs and also my wife's. I am more pro-active than she, and usually use my career background in Communications and media to help her find good information. I am very glad to know about the NTM ir website and facebook link plus the ways you fill in the gap between professionals and we patients. I am about to continue looking at this meeting of your's.
