Hello, this looks delicious and I would like to make this. My pressure cooker is different from yours so I don't know what "three whistles" means. Can you please tell me how long it would take to get to that stage? Ten minutes, maybe? Thank you.
To substitute for eggs, incorporate 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt into the marinade. Season with pepper and salt to taste. Marinate the chicken and keep it covered in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Before cooking, remove the marinated chicken breasts from the refrigerator and allow it to reach room temperature. Then, continue with the remaining steps of the recipe. Hope it helps.
@TheYummyDelights i want to have more curry as chicken is more. If u want to rework at the dish for second use tommorow can i add curd and spices and recook the chicken for more gravy ?
Yes, you can. Cook the gravy base separately with spices and then add the cooked chicken. Combine and cook until it comes to a boil. Do not overcook the chicken as it will disintegrate in the curry. Let us know how it worked for you.
Tried this out with what I had on hand and it tasted amazing, deffo going to be a go-to meal from now on Changes I made and It still worked are as follows: grated half an onion instead of using onion powder, subbed in thyme basil parsley and oregano for mixed herbs
I originally made my chicken curry with adding the curd to the curry after having cooked the chicken but my friend from Andhra made it like this, marinating the chicken in the curd and I will never go back, its so much better this way.
In a pot, add bone-in chicken pieces and enough water to cover the chicken by 1-inch or more. Boil water. skim the foam off the top. Add carrot, onions, pepper, bay leaf to it and add salt. Lower heat, simmer gently until chicken is cooked through about 45 minutes to and hour. Strain it. The liquid is broth.
I've tried this and it tastes good, thanks for the easy instruction :) I just lacked olive oil, I just used the regular oil I use for cooking, that is, coconut oil 😅 For the garlic powder, I minced 8 cloves (I cooked 1kg of chicken) 'cause I don't really use garlic powder 😊 For the lemon, I used 4 calamansi instead since I currently don't have it in my fridge. I also added potatoes which I initially fried before the chicken. Added salt & pepper to taste, also added a little bit of white vinegar (just less than a teaspoon), to balance and improve the entire taste of the dish.
You're welcome! I'm glad you liked the recipe and found it easy to follow. It sounds like you made some great substitutions with what you had on hand. Thanks for sharing.
