Such a cultured sound ... there are many good performances of this piece but as good as they are other nations just don't have this unique Baltic (Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia) tembral colour which to me is one of the main keys to unlock this treasure. In this case it is of course the motherland of the composer - Latvia. And if coupled with M.Sirmais as a conductor - super musicality and technicality combined and simply an extraordinary personality - it is of no match to my liking :)
I stumbled upon this video once in 2012 and was mesmerized by it. Now, 4 years later, I remembered about this and searching around in youtube, in hope of finding this video again. My only clue is that mezhdunarodny khorovoj festival 2012 (as I forgot everything else) so I try typing that. Thankfully when I added latvia they showed this immediately lol. Now I can hear this again. Ahh what a treat to the ear. Thanks for uploading this ^^

One of the best renditions of this piece of music. It also shows a wonderful creation by the composer Eriks Esenvalds. He rank high amongst the modern religious composers. They know God lives.
l like the way they surround the audience, all dressed in white, as if they're angels protecting people. with angelic voices. absolutely adore this piece, especially soloists.
