These AI videos make me laugh. In the first minute you say they need 45 minutes to a hour a day. In the second minute you say 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Bonkers.
My Greyhound would walk at 5:30, 9:30, 4:30 and one more around 8:00 pm. The walks were 1/2 to 1 hour long with rest stops when she wanted to take one. Play time in the backyard in the evening and in house roomies whenever the mood struck her. After the 9:30 am walk she would drink some water then go sunbathe in the backyard. She truly was something else.

Yes! You just need to be ready to be needed once you get home. Even when you’re exhausted, your Aussie will need a pretty long walk or long play. I find that teaching my dog fetch, it gives her a purpose or job. Also, if you don’t give it enough exercise, the pent up energy can manifest into barking. I am really busy, and I’m still able to keep up with my Aussie, so I’m not saying this to discourage you but prepare you! I love Aussies, but they definitely aren’t for the tired hahaha
