I think the pinfish tried to take my toenail off while watching.. its been long time since been there but never cought the black & white ''not a sheep head'' 🐠 1 that was near the end of the veido.. wish could have seen the large dark monsters that came just out of focus.. but thats how fishing & guess fish watching go's.

Thank you for the feedback. I have just started using this knot myself and also love it. I would love to go fishing for salmon and steelhead one day, that sounds like lots of fun.

Yes, you can wrap either direction, as long as you wrap it around each of the three lines. Two from the loop (orange mono/fluro) and one running back from left to right (yellow braid).
Thanks for the reply. Is the issue with the loop created at the hook eye, so that won't form/align? As you need to pinch the loop before you create your wraps and put it back down that loop. If you need further help, then please let me know. Thanks.
Nice knot tying! I must admit to being keen to see the pull test results for this vs the alberto. There are plenty of opinions out there, but an opinion is worthless without empirical data.
Thank you @Gwendlethred. I did try last weekend, but the scales didn't have a lock on them, so would reset to 0 when the line snapped. So I'm going to get some new scales and go back to the drawing board. A small setback, but like yourself, I want to see the empirical data.
Thanks Mark. I have tied the PR and FG knots in the past and they are a lot more complicated, but like the Trilene Knot for tying on hooks are considered 100% knots, so they are much stronger. I find this knot the best for spinning as it will pass through the guides easily due to the low profile and size of the knot. I am planning on testing the line strength of each of these over the coming weeks and then posting my findings.
