omg those rocks were just destroying the tendons in their ankles... you are supposed to do it with the back foot as support and not by putting weight on the front foot. Plenty of sports medical doctors have warned the dangers from putting weight on your ankles like that.....barfffff
The girls have beautiful turnout in their softshoe, but absolutely none of them kicked their butts in their up and overs!! That's like the fundamental part of an up and over, or over two three!!
I think the fast tempo is necessary for the quick footwork . . . which is what it's all about :) I attended one of Michael Flatley's shows in the mid 90s and have loved Irish dance ever since.
Matthew Gossman Thanks for your answer but I meant compared to the speed that is normally played at competitions (which I do) since these dancers were performing competition steps.
+cecilegreard definitely fast. Their traveling runs were getting stuck because they couldn't move fast enough, especially. It would have looked better if the music had been at a more reasonable tempo.
