I started watching this and my WTF gauge was just ramping higher and higher... then I caught on and was desperately choking down explosive fits of laughter, trying not to waking sleeping people in my house.
Fast forward to 2019. As a bastion of conservative politics, Utahns have embraced their Mormon son, Mit, (oh, sorry, it's been decreed that they now be addressed by their full handle, "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" rather than simply "Mormon" or "LDS"), and elected him senator for a state that's more interested in his religious heritage than his curriculum vitae (in my unbiased opinion, of course). His primary opponent in the race was Jenny Wilson (now Salt Lake County Mayor) a 5th generation Utah woman and lifelong Democrat. In contrast, Mr. Romney is not from Utah, nor has he lived here for a significant amount of time. He is, however, a white, male, septuagenarian Latter Day Saint. The nation didn't want him as leader--twice--but Utah is a Republican stronghold, so naturally he was a shoo-in. Surprise, surprise. But hey, the good news is that the Mormon church heavily promotes family emergency preparedness. So, in the event we suffer a catastrophic zombie uprising and I actually survive, I won't have as much competition looting the local Walmart when I run out of Coke and toilet paper, lol.... :D
